Contest - My Childhood!!!

How are you guys doing today? I wish to participate in this wonderful contest in steem for betterlife community and the contest is really about memories because it focuses more on our childhood. So many steemians have already participated and I really enjoyed reading their posts, i think is now time I create my own entry. I thank @shiftitamanna for organizing this wonderful contest.

Did you enjoy your childhood?

Yes I enjoyed my childhood, most especially with my siblings because our parents always lock us inside the house then. I had two siblings then because our last born wasn't born yet and I was the last born then. My elder brother was always getting into trouble because of my sister and I 🤣. I will always go outside whenever my parents say I should not go outside when they are not at home. My elder brother will avoid me from going outside and I will always find a way of going outside.

My elder brother will go outside to spread clothes when our parents are not at home, I will cry that I want to go outside and I will begin to fight with my elder sister who's two years older than me and she will give up and allow me go outside, I will run outside and if my brother doesn't see me on time and my parents comes back that same moment I just came out, they will take me inside and punish my brother 🤣.

What is the first childhood memory?

My siblings and I were always playing with teddy bears, we normally call the game teddy bear world is a game where we talk for the teddy bears and also make houses for them, using wrappers as the walls and books as the tiles or floor. We also do schools and church as well and the teddy bears are really many because our mother buys them for us alot.

We will also make exercise books for these teddy bears and do school bags for them with biscuit nylon or my elder brother will knit a very small bag for them. We really love the game and we always do it during holidays from morning till night.

Did you have a lot of friends when you were young?

Yes I did had alot of friends then but I was always indoors with my siblings, my siblings are lively and smart and we called ourselves spy kids. Most times we will stay at our verandah watching children playing outside and we do feel bad sometimes because we want to join them and play. When light comes, we will then happily watch television, we watch cartoons alot then and we were so naughty and smart. We had no phones as well and I used to sleep alot.

Do you think it is better for children to grow up in cities or villages?

I think is better to grow in the city because we learn about so many modern things in the city and we always try our best to make sure that we do well in our schools, there's more electricity in the city than the village and it will really disturb if the children are growing up in the village in this modern time. They can at least visit the village and spend 1 week or more there. Thanks for reading my post.
