Illiteracy

Illiteracy is an act of not knowing how to read and write. Is the act of not having any knowledge about education. A person who suffers from the big disease illiteracy is known as an illiterate.

In our country today alot of young people are been embarrassed by their peers because they can't read and write and most times am even wondering how to can manage to even talk and pronounce few words. I do have few illiterates around me and they are talking but you can't hear few things they normally say from their mouth because they if hard to pronounce most words.

Causes of Illiteracy

Illiteracy is caused by lots of reasons and am sure you guys know that every negative and even positive event or situation, has a cause. The following are few causes of Illiteracy;

1. Poverty : Alot of families doesn't have money to take their children to school and because of this, their children spend lots of years at home assisting them in doing few things and teaching them the basics of life in other to survive a little without going to school.

Most times these children doesn't know that going to school is their right so they feel a little bit relax and survive with the lies their parents always tell them.

2. Stubbornness : Most children are stubborn to the extent they don't want to go to school because school is a very wicked and difficult place to them. Most times we find these children sneaking towards another direction instead of going to school and coming back home after school pretending as if they were coming from school.

I know of someone who's still an Illiterate up till now, he didn't do well in school because he was so stubborn and lazy, everytime he will make noise in class and begins to look for people's children trouble as well as fight them. Now he doesn't know how to write his name on a paper and sign as well.

Consequences of Illiteracy

The following are major consequences of Illiteracy;

1. Unemployment : An Illiterate hardly gets a job from a big company or organization because of their inability to read and write and they won't be able to communicate with customers very well.

2. Lack of opportunities : A wealthy person might want to take few people to empower in a foreign country and the person might call for an exam and clearly state that only those that pass will qualify for the great opportunity. An illiterate won't be able to succeed because he doesn't no want to answer in the exam.

3. Loneliness : Someone who's an illiterate will be getting rejections from lots of people, nobody will want to relate with such kind of person and this cansle them lonely.

4. Cheat : Just because you can't read and write people will want to take advantage of you and cheat you if you are always doing business with them. An Illiterate will lose alot in his/her business of he/she starts one.

Solutions of Illiteracy

The following are few solutions of Illiteracy;

• Good governance.
• Obedience and hardwork.
• Zeal to learn.
• Ability to understand and explain.
• Knowing the value of education and so many others.
