Steemit Engagement Challenge S3-W4: The Role of the Various Genders | #burnsteem25

The Week 4 of Engagement Challenge has started and just like previous weeks, there are many amazing contests.

Now, I am going to discuss about the Role of the Various Genders in the community. Lets start with some of the different topics to discuss about it.

Does gender play a role in our everyday life?

First talk about what is gender. Gender is basically the appearance of how a person is can be identifed. It refers to the physical characteristics of men, women, boys and girls that are constructed in a social manner.

The Gender Definitely plays a very important role in our everyday life. Gender in the society shows the activities of acting, speaking, grooming, dressing of a person on the basis of sex which is assigned.

For example, the girls and women are assigned a female gender which expect them to dress in a feminine manner and behave politely. The boys and men, are assigned a male gender which expect them to dress in a masculine manner and behave strong.

According gender, the society has assigned different works to us. The Males are assigned the works of outside the home. They earn money for their family. On the other hand, the females are assigned the works of home, take care of their children.

Many of the females now a days endulge in outside works also. But those works are designed for the purpose of women and they are expected to be done by women rather than men.

How does the role or function in your country differ from gender to gender?

In my country India, the dress codes and works are different for different genders. Men are assigned the work of upbringing the family. They earn money to fulfill the needs of their family.

The women are assigned the works of home such as cooking food, taking care of their kids, and cleaning. There are different clothes which men and women wear. The men wear shirt with jeans and Kurta Pajamas. On the other hand, women wear saree, salwar kurta, lehenga etc.

There are many of the places in my country where there are decisions only taken by the men and then women are expected to be in support of their husbands and respect their decisions.

However, there are many changes are going in which the women are also becoming the major part of decision taking and there are some of the works assigned for women from outside the home also such as nursing, teaching.

Is it the same for other countries?

This is not same for other countries. There are many countries where the preference of the women is more than men especially the white persons. Also in my country there is right to vote for women along with men.

But, in many other countries women cannot give votes and only men has that right which is different not same with my country. Also, there are some countries like japan in which the men are more emotional than women.

There are also many similarities in my country qnd many other countries like there are many countries where still the women take care of houses and men work for the sustainment of their families.

What about Steemit?

It is different for steemit platform. That platform is widely open for everyone and there is no gender discrimination in the platform. As it has created by both men and women so the rights are same for both. Anyone can join the platform and do posts.

There is no limitation of doing work on this platform according the gender, cast or religion. We have seen that the Applications for different positions in the platform are given by both men and women and there are both men and women in the upper positions. This platform only work on the activities fone by the persons and not on the gender of those persons.
