Hello friends,

Am excited to put in my entry in the steemit Engagement Challenge Season 9 week 2. I find the topic for the the week interesting so I didn't want to miss out in it. "Easy come, Easy Go"

What do you understand about Easy Come,Easy Go?

Easy come, easy go is a phase that seem to tell a story of regret and warning.

What comes to my mind when I hear the word Easy come,Easy go; is probably a status, an achievement, success or anything that comes to us without our struggle for them, because we didn't put up a structure to keep these things, they leave us so easily just the way they came.

The word easy come, easy go brings to mind preparation and maintenance capacity. Anything we get so easy without preparing for it or making plans to sustain it will go down.

But guess what? When you prepare for success, marriage, an office or position with a sustaining capacity, it will be hard to loss it.

A Friend once told me "Grace might take you to the top but you need character to sustain it". This simply means Grace actually makes things easy or let things come to us without stress but if you don't know how to keep that which you have gotten from grace, by having the right character, you will lose it. "Easy come, easy go"

Have you ever experienced a condition in life like that?

Yes I have experienced such situation. Infact I still have a fresh memory of it. Let me tell you the story.

I have always wanted to have financial freedom, where I won't need to lack money or depend on anyone for Money. I have thought of ways to achieve this goal.

At the beginning of last year, I said to myself, by the end of this year I should have a business offline running for me. Guess what? The year has ended and we are in another year nothing has happened.

Towards the mid-year of 2022, a huge amount of money entered my hands. Money I didn't work much to get. Some person's may chose to call it miracle money. Money big enough to start up the business I desired offline.

I was carried away with so much excitement, I didn't remember to put up any of the plans i had in my head. I didn't put the money into the business, I used up the money carelessly.

One of the things I did with the money was invest it into a Ponzi scheme because I wanted to double the money. It didn't take long, the money finished. Infact when I realized the money had finished, I was so full of regrets why I didn't use it for the business.

How did you deal with the instant success that disappeared in a short time?

Well, when the unexpected miracle money came, I was excited. Infact at that point I began to remember some unnecessary things I need to do with the money and one of it was the so called investment.

I spent the money on things that didn't matter so much like the business I wanted to start up. I felt maybe another miracle money will come from the fake investment I did.

When the money was gone, it dawned on me that I didn't do the needful things I always wanted to do. I felt really bad and disappointed at myself. At a point I thought felt like it wasn't me that did those things. But I have leant my lessons.

What lessons can be drawn from this expression?

There are so many lessons hidden in the expression"Easy come, Easy go"

In life, the things that last long are things we worked for to get. Because if you worked hard for it, you would value what you have and not let go easily.

Another lesson leant from the expression is that opportunities may not last forever, so use them wisely when it does.

Next, Preparations and implementation is necessary to keep whatever was gotten be it success, firm, money and the rest, else it will go down.

Whatever you don't work for might go because you may not have what it takes to keep it.

what if you associate the statement above with a romantic relationship if you have any, could you describe it?

If am to associate the statement above with a romantic relationship, then I have this to say.

There are lots of young people especially ladies in my locality who just want to either get into a relationship or be married because their friends are getting married. Some are not even prepared for marriage.

At the end of the day, because they do not have what it takes to be married, they find themselves having so much unsolvable problems.

I have this friend that falls into this category of young ladies who just wanted to be married just to be in the class of those called "married young lady". She finally got married in 2022 last year.

Before she got married, she constantly intimidated us with praises for her to-be husband. She told us of how he own this and that. I know this lady very well and I know she doesn't really know what marriage is all about. I kept asking her if she was ready for marriage.

She got offended in my question and didn't even inform me about the date fixed for her wedding. Just less than a year into the marriage, I was informed that she ran out of her husband house. She got divorced.

To be in a relationship or to be married, you need to understand that it is work, to sustain it you must work for it. It's not just about beauty or affection or money. Although they are important but there is something more that keeps a relationship when the beauty is no longer there or when the money is not there.

Nice post, you've provided nice perspective on the concept of "easy come, easy go." Your explanation of how things that comes to us without struggle or preparation tend to leave just as easily is quite good. The reminder that preparation and the capacity to maintain what we acquire are key to sustaining success, relationships and other aspects of life is valuable. Your personal experience of receiving unexpected money and not utilizing it for your desired business only to have it disappea emphasizes the importance of making wise choices when instant success comes our way. The lessons you drew from this expression are deep. I liked your blog, keep up the good work and I wish you success in the contest.

A pleasure to meet you again in the challenge friend, if our decisions are wise and not impulsive we can counteract this statement, it all depends on us certainly.

Uff yes many are out there acting impulsively and nothing good comes out of that, especially when it comes to feelings you have to be careful to be hurt or hurt in the process.

Dear sister,

First of all I appreciate your presentation and I agree with the points you have made. You said: "If you work hard for it, you value what you have and don't give up easily". Your words are correct and true. We don't know how to value anything that is easily acquired because that thing is gone too quickly. So we should earn something through due diligence so that we can retain these things. Best wishes to you.
