Steemit Engagement Challenge s5-w6: "THE END"
Hello Steem friends,
We are gradually coming to the end of season 5 and we are already in end of week's 6, oh what an amazing time to write about the theme of the weeks contest THE END. I have a story to tell which and I hope you like it. Let me invite my friends to join this contest @temitopef @josepha @chiabertrand.
sourcePrisca cried while pressing her pillow tight, wishing she would have a good education so that she can take out her family from poverty
Johnson her brother came into her room and found her in tears, he encouraged her with a smile in his face, telling her he has an idea of how she could raise some money so that she could go back to school.
Prisca and Johnson are siblings of a wealthy chief but their uncle Mr Obi took all the properties their father owned after his death and since then Prisca dropped out of school because she could not keep up with all the payments.
Prisca and Johnson had previously lost their mum two years ago before the death of their Dad. Now they had no one to help them. They could barely feed. Prisca cried day and night wondering how she could go back to school.
Prisca replied "Johnson what idea do you have for me" John said to her you could start selling some oranges in front of the house while I get a job as a sales person to support you financially until when you are done with school then you will inturn train me in school.
It sounded like a good idea to Prisca but she replied I do not have any capital to start the orange business. Johnson smiles and said he was able to get some money from a friend of his. The face of Prisca lightened up with a smile.
sourcePrisca finally started her orange business and was doing well in it while her brother got a job as a sales boy in an electronic shop. After a while, they saved up some money and Prisca went back to school to complete her education.
Her brother took up the orange business and was supporting his sister. Every evening after he close from his sales work, he comes home to set up the orange business.
Prisca was already in her 3rd year when her father died. So it was just remaining a year for her to be done with her studies since it was a 4 years course.
Prisca concentrated on her studies in school ignoring all the distraction because she knows what was at stake if she fails. Her motivation for doing well in school was the fact that she was really poor and have a brother looking up to her.
sourceThe joy in Prisca' heart as she wrote her final exams was massive. She got congratulatory messages from friends and of course her brother Johnson. Her name was posted for compulsory national youth service that is usually done in one year. She was posted to the western part of Nigeria to serve for one year. Luckily her youth service went well and she was done.
She came home and celebrated with her brother Johnson. She used the opportunity to thank him for all his efforts to support her so far. As they were discussing she received a phone call telling her to report to work the next day, that she just got a job with a multi billion company, they told her she will be paid a huge some of money monthly coupled with a car and an apartment. The excitement doubled. She and her brother discussed about how she would help Johnson through school just as he did.
The next morning with so much excitement, Prisca had her bath and was ready to be at work
She took a cab from her house and on her way a trailer hit the cab she was in and Prisca died instantly. This was the end of Prisca.
Some uncles are naturally wicked, which is not good. However, I like how courageous Prisca and Johnson were. They forget about the father's wealth and allow God to take control, and they begin struggling, which is not the type of life their parents had prepared for them.
I feel their pain. You have written well, and best of luck is all I wish you.

Es un final tan trágico... Después que Prisca y su hermano lucharon tanto por alcanzar sus metas, un accidente lamentable la desaparece de esta vida, mientras se dirigía a su primer trabajo... Me impactó su historia en verdad. Saludos y éxitos.

But why ruthjoe? I was happy all along as I read through not until I got to the end, it shouldn't have been this tragic☹️... She couldn't even pull through to enjoy the favour that had just come her way.
But come to thing of it, your a good script writer, you really played with our emotion...lol Keep it up dear.

So sad, and touching, like the saying not all stories have a happy ending, it's quite unfortunate for Prisca and especially Johnson for the loss of his sister and the only family he has, when he hopes everything is going back to normal, and he can go back to school, he lost his sister in the cold hand of death. God knows the best sha, thank you for sharing.

Hmm what a tragic end for Prisca. I can not even imagine the pain her brother will pass through after her demise.
