Am so excited to be here once again. I know you all are doing well no mcious meal. The ewagoon is actually beans portage but cooked differently because it is filled with so much palmoil.
This street food location is a small town in ilaje bariga here in Lagos city, Nigeria. And around this area you would always see street food especially those selling ewagoon and agege bread.
This local food has been made popular here in Nigeria by the yoruba speaking language found in Lagos state. Ewagoon is usually eaten with a special kind of bread called Agege bread this bread is so soft and sold without a bread label or nylon. Almost every citizen of lagos loves this bread because of its softness.
Ewagoon and Agege bread
Agege bread costfrom 100 naira and above, which is 1.3 steemand above. While the ewagoon(oil portage beans) cost 200naira and above for a plate, which is 2 steem and above.
This delicious meal is usually sold on the streets of lagos by the yoruba's . i am not yoruba but i have grown to love this meal since i moved into the city of lagos.
I love this street food called ewagoon and agege bread not just only for its delicious taste but also because the oil portage beans is protein while the agege bread is carbohydrate . when eaten gives you full energy for the day. It can sustain a person for a very long, all you the person will be doing is to drink water. Children, mothers and fathers loves ewagoon and agege bread.
This meal is best eaten as lunch or dinner but i still see some persons who eat it as breakfast. If you ask me i think it is too heavy to be breakfast, so i eat mine as lunch. I have also noticed that when i eat this meal as lunch i dont eat any other food again. I probably have snack.
