Wonderful day to my steemit neighbors. Trending in the world today is the shout for gender equality. I'm not against feminists cause I know behind every successful man, there's a woman. In my post, I'll try to highlight the differences in the roles men and women play.

DOES GENDER PLAY A ROLE IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE?
HOW DOES THE ROLE OR FUNCTION IN YOUR COUNTRY DIFFER FROM GENDER TO GENDER?
IS IT THE SAME FOR OTHER COUNTRIES?

Does Gender Play A Role In Our Everyday Life?

Gender refers to the characteristics of either the two sexes, male or female, that are socially constructed. This includes the norms, behaviours and roles associated with being a male or female as well as relationships with each other. This of course plays a huge role in our everyday life .

How does the role or function in your country differ from gender to gender?

Gender roles in my country means how we’re expected to act, speak, dress, interact, and conduct ourselves based upon our assigned sex.

For example, females are generally expected to dress in feminine ways and be polite, accommodating, and nurturing while males are generally expected to be strong, aggressive, and bold.

Every society, ethnic group, and culture in my country has gender role expectations, but they can be very different from group to group. They can also change in the same society over time.

For example, in the early days only males were allowed to go to school while the females were to stay home to help their mothers with the household chores. But now both male and female are allowed to go to school and help with the chores.

In the traditional family model, females are primarily responsible for the home, child rearing, and maintenance of good relationships while the males, in contrast, are primarily responsible for the financial support of the family. Although gender-role beliefs have been measured in a variety of ways.

However, researchers have found in some countries that females report less traditional and more egalitarian gender-role beliefs than do male.

This is because female believe in the principle that all people are equal and deserve equal rights and opportunities. That's why today we have females going for the role of males.

For example, people in the society believe that the engineering job are for the males but now females get a fair chance to do the job.

In some families today it is the females who are academically sound and support the family financially. No one is trying to choose sides but to make things fair for both genders.

It has not been easy for some females because in some society the males are the ones who are given the opportunity to further their education and become someone fruitful in life.

The simple truth of the matter is that men run the world cause they're aggressive. They'll never be seen as equal to women in every aspect.

Is it the same for other countries?

Gender roles differ from one country to another because social expectations of each gender change over time, and often develop differently in cultures around the world.

But in all countries, it has been shown that the first-generation immigrants are reported to be more traditional gender-role believers than the second-generation immigrants, same goes for the second-generation immigrants and third-generation immigrants. It continues like this till the end of the world.

In conclusion, I think it's safe to say that men and women each have their roles. Comparing the two won't help, neither would trying to take on the role of another.

It is very important for kids to be taught the roles they play in the society so when they grow up they'll be fully aware of what they have to do in order to fulfill their roles and bring about peaceful coexistence in the society.

That's one of the good aspects of steemit platform.
There is gender balance in a sense that everyone who happens to be on this platform has equal rights and there is no special treatment for some people.
We all have the same rights and privileges.
Once again, thanks for sharing.
I wish you all the best in the contest
