Contest of Local Culture and Traditions||fire festival by @osiola.
hello everyone.
If you manage your poverty very well even a rich man will respect you and I will like to use this opportunity to thank @irawandedy for giving us this contest this week.
We have millions of cultures all over the world and every place is having their traditions and what to do and what not to do and if you go beyond the costumes or their traditions you will be punished for breaking their rules.
each cultural practice has a meaning and they have the reason why they celebrate those cultural practices, they have a particular period they celebrate it and some celebrate it to remainder about their great king, etc each has different.
from my point of view, culture is the way of life and practice of a group of people example of culture is their beliefs, customs, the language they speak, the way they dress, etc.
Traditions are a long term belief which passed to people from one generation to another generation, example every place in this world has what they believe, even in our house we have traditions.
I will like to briefly discuss my local culture and traditions with you guys.
Local culture and traditions
Well I am from Ghana, I stayed in the northern part of Ghana, we have different types of people there but they don’t speak the same language, we have different types of culture and traditions, and each tribe has its customs and beliefs.
I am going to tell you today my local culture and traditions but I speak Dagbani as my language and we have different types of cultural practices and traditions but I am going to list them and explain how one of them was bought about.
this is how it all started, there was a great king called naa Sule and one day his favorite son went out and never come back to the house, in that day night he told the whole kingdom, they should go and search for his son for him and that was how fire festival started.
We celebrate the fire festival at the night, all the chiefs will all gather at the king's house for the celebration.
