Satisfying a craving|| Come cook with me.
Have you ever been craving for a meal that you just knew needed satisfying??
Well that is my case. I woke up on Sunday morning with a beans craving and just knew that I had to satisfy it. So after service on Sunday, I hopped on into the market to get my condiments.
Walking around the market, the prices of things could have scared a lesser man but I had made up my mind.
I immediately started looking for the things I wanted to buy. I wanted to buy some
- Beans
- Kponmo - This meat is very common in this part of the country.
- Eja kika (Fish)
- Sweet Potatoe
- Pepper and a few other things.
I moved around the market trying to find a price that suited the cash in my hand. Finally I saw vendors who were willing to sell. I had bought almost all I came to buy when I remembered to take pictures.
As soon as I was done, I headed home to start my process. I picked, Washed and put the beans in a pot of hot water.
Next I peeled off the back of my sweet Potatoe and cut it into pieces so it'll be easier to soften when I put it in the cooking beans.
I moved on to my kponmo and fish. I washed, cleaned and cut them into my desired pieces.
I chopped my onions and then waited for the beans to soften.
After about 30 minutes, my beans had softened to the point where I added the potatoes and some red oil which I already had in the house and then I let it boil while I chewed on some puff puff that was given to me by a sister.
After 10 minutes, I added salt, seasonings, the kponmo, fish, and pepper and then let it boil for 5 more minutes.
My yummy beans is ready and served. Come eat with me.
