Location of Sumpang Bita Prehistoric Park:

Sumpang Bita Prehistoric Park is situated in Sumpang Bita Village, Balocci District, Pangkajene Islands Regency, South Sulawesi. It's approximately 25 km from Makassar City, taking around 45 minutes by a four-wheeled vehicle.

Activities to Do:

Sumpang Bita Prehistoric Park is open from 07:00 to 17:00 daily, with an entrance fee of Rp. 5000 or 2-3 steem per person and Rp. 5000 for car parking. With this affordable entry fee, visitors can engage in several outdoor activities with their families, such as:

Picnicking:

Visitors can have a picnic in the prehistoric park. At the entrance, there are options to rent camping chairs and mats for only Rp. 25,000 (12 steem). You can bring food from home to enjoy in the park or even bring your own barbecue equipment.

Historical Tour:

Sumpang Bita features caves that were once inhabited by prehistoric communities. Prehistoric cave paintings can be found on the cave walls. There are two prehistoric caves to explore at this location.

Facilities at Sumpang Bita Prehistoric Park:

The park offers various public facilities, including gazebos at various locations, public toilets, and a tracking path leading to the cave location. For visitors looking to buy food and drinks, there are stalls in the front area of the park selling these items. However, visitors are reminded not to leave any trash behind when bringing food into the park. (R.O)
