People in my community uses different vehicles as transportation depending on who you are. In Ghana, your money determines your power. But the most used vehicle is the motorcycles.

MOTORCYCLE

The motorcycles are less expensive as compared to other vehicle. But expensive too as compared to the bicycles. Normally,Only two people can sit on it. It uses fuel. Without the fuel, the motorcycle cannot be used. You will be amazed when you come and see the number of motorcycles that are found in Tamale. Every household own at less a minimum of 2-3 motorcycles.

The motorcycles are the most common mode of transportation when running short errands. With the way the economy is getting high and causing in the increment in transportation fees, most people prefer to use the bike to move around town and the outskirts of town. With a full tank of fuel in a motorcycle which will cost you 65 cedis, equivalent to 39 steems, can be used to travel for a distance above 50 miles and below 120 miles.

MINI BUS

Mini bus is a motor vehicle that is intended to convey a bigger number of people than a bus vehicle, however less passengers than a regular transport. After the motorcycle, mini buses are the second in hand in terms of transportation.

The mini buses varies in size and the number of passengers it can convey. Most of them carry at most fifteen (15) passengers and a minimum of six (6) at least. The mini bus is most preferred to passengers that are in hurry to get to their destination since it is faster than most of there other transportation vehicles. Since the mini bus picks only a few passengers and with its cost of transportation been moderate, passengers patronize it a lot and this is the main reason they are very common and used always.

Day in day out we find people travel in and out of town where most of the passengers are traders coming to trade, others come for business purposes and some also come for tour. All these require transportation. These categories of persons leave different town to come to tamale and also Tamale happens to the which all main activities take place. With most of them using the mini bus as a mode of transport.

In the below table I will be showing the cost of transportation of some of the close towns around tamale.
