Nine years ago, 2014 was precisely the year I graduated from a high school with satisfactory grades. At that time I was so worried about continuing my education where, it was not a matter of cost but it was about my own desires with the wishes of my parents. I was in such a dilemma at that time. But in the end, with careful thought, I decided to comply with my parents' wish to continue my education at one of the boarding schools.

In 2014, exactly 16 zulhijjah I became a student at the Ma'hadal 'Ulum Diniah Islamiah Islamic Boarding School (MUDI) Samalanga Grand Mosque after going through a series of new student admission tests.

Being in this Islamic boarding school made me learn a lot about everything, because besides the place for religious knowledge, here I also learned so much knowledge about life.

In our daily life, the santri during free time are required to wear long clothes above the knee with a sarong combined as a subordinate, while for the hijab we have to wear a hijab that reaches to the elbows.

Meanwhile, if we are going to do the recitation, we will wear special clothes. For Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays we are required to wear white clothes and a white headscarf, while on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays we are required to wear special batik clothes with a wardah color hijab. While on Friday we have the recitation off, but we still have other activities that we do, namely doing mutual cooperation in the morning, while the afternoon after noon is free time to receive guests, while on Friday night we read Dalail together with our respective caravans.

While in the complex we are strictly forbidden to use cell phones, while to communicate with our family, a public cell phone has been provided which will still be controlled during its use.

However, if there are big events inviting guests from outside us, the students were once allowed to use cell phones, especially on the day of the event, that's when we took the opportunity to capture some photos with our comrades in arms.

In 2018, exactly 20 September 2018, I officially became an alumni after deciding to leave there for reasons of wanting to have a family, the separation was so heartbreaking, because that is where the family is the second most comfortable place for me, friends from various regions who have become friends, the teacher council who have become friends. substitute parents, dorm friends who are like family, it's so hard when you have to separate.

After four years as Alumni, my husband and first daughter went back to visit MUDI MESRA to unwind with my comrades in arms, I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to fight with them at this Islamic boarding school.
