Mhizta diary game|| 27-07-2024|| Being starve as punishment for going to work late.

Waking up in the morning is the most grateful thing and I thank my beloved creator for keeping me alive because somewhere in the world, someone has slept peacefully in the night but unable to wake up in the morning. My first activities everyday is to appreciate and be thanking God for my life and my family and friends.

My brother wake me up asking if not going to work, I overslept, and I was so tired. I picked up my phone to check time and it's was 10 minutes after 8(8:10am). This is actually the time I suppose to resume work but I was just waking up, I rush immediately to fetched water thinking to round up in the next 30 minutes before my madam could call. But unfortunately for me, while still on the bathroom, my boss called.

Immediately I saw her call, I knew I was in trouble, my mind was telling me to lie that am on my way, but to think of it, the place was quiet, even my voice was to froggy and deep. She asked me why I have open and where I am. I told her that am actually in the bathroom preparing and she could notice it even from my voice. After scolding for some second, she ended the call. She was actually in the shop waiting. My heartbeat was beating like someone who was caught for stealing meat in the pot. I knew, it's going to be a sad day.

After bathing, I got prepared, I rush to our neighbor to collect my power bank and I left immediately. Guess what, I wasn't with any change to board motorcycle or tricycle and I had to trek. I was walking and running. It's was already 8:40am, I activated Temple run and at 9:17, I was in the shop, the rate of my heart beat increase immediately i noticed her car packed in front of the shop. Deep down, my mind was telling me: ”you don die today”.

From her face, her look and her expression, I knew she is very upset, the worst part of it was that, everyone was done shading their market including my friends. They were all laughing because they knew that this one am coming late and my boss is waiting for me, it not going to end well. I greeted her in the car and I tried to explained why I came late. She knew it was my phone that made slept late last night and she had been warning me about pressing phone at night.

After 30min he finally released me to go and open the shop and she left. I started shading as fast as I could. Before you know, it's was after 11 and I was hungry. I haven't taken anything yet. She came back with some goods and I offloaded it. Before she left, she said: "Since this phone is more important to, you will eat it today". Does that mean am not going to eat? I was expecting her to hand over a bag to me a usual but there was nothing like that.

She left while I packed all the goods inside and I was waiting for this important call: "Take money and go and buy food". It's was already after 1, my Belle was empty, the sky was crowdy as if rain wants to fall. There was a heavy breeze who blew some drinks I shaded on the table down and their nylon was torn.

That word: "an hungry man is an angry man" truly revealed on me. I packed the torn goods inside because there was no seal tape. At about 3pm I went to my friend place to get some garri and sugar though I didn't felt anything after taking it. I was hungry all day because I came late, I promise myself not to try that again.

Suddenly my phone rang, it was my friend, he informed me that he had cooked rice, omo, miracle no dey tire Jesus. As he mentioned rice, I grabbed my spoon immediately and headed to his shop. They were shocked the way I appeared like spirit.

Without wasting of time, I started consuming the food like someone who they just brought out from prison. I ate to my satisfaction. After eating, my friend brought out 3 bottles of fanta which we used to digest the food down to our Belle. I rested for about 30 minutes then began packing because it's was already 7pm.

After Closing the shop, I checked on my friend if they are done with their own too, I greeted them goodnight while leading to my destination. On my way home, one leg of my foot wear get cut on the road, thank God I was with small change which i bought 1 supper glue. I manage to gum it perfectly till I got home.

My day was sad and bored follow by hungry, angry and frustration, but I will never forget my friend kindness. I love that guy. I have also learned my lesson: It's good to be punctual to work. I believe everything that happened that day was my fault. I will never repeat that again. What was the punishment your boss served you for coming to work late?
