It's during the darkest moment that we must focus to see the light.
My defining moment began when I was about writing my senior WAEC. It was a tough time.
Since I was in boarding school, my parents had to sell part of his land in the village to pay my school fees and my WAEC registration. One week after my parents paid my fees, I was expelled from the college because I flocked my junior student and broke his arm.
Coming back home, my parents were very upset with me. Saying that; "that's my last journey in school" and that, they won't further my education and that I should get out of his house and go find trade and learn. ( My father in particular was very curious about his land He sold in the village for my WAEC registration). I later mat my dad personally. I Plead for my failure and the mistake I made. Asking him if there's no where I can continue my education?.. my father strongly said, that's the end of my education and chase me away from his presence. I never for once witness my father in such action with all level of seriousness.
As a young boy, I was fully bittered without knowing who to blame.

The hard time

I see myself as a child of the world, I see darkest in me, failure in me, I see rejection in me. As a young boy, I didn't see these as the end of my life.
We human are social political animals. Sometime we make decisions that comes with circumstances, it might be negative or positive step.
I took a tough decision. I left my parents without informing them my way about.
I started roaming the stress and that was my first experience in street without my parents. I witness a lot of bad and ungodly things why in the streets. But when I remember what brought me here, I couldn't join the bad guys and do evil to survive. I see that place as unbecoming. My parents almost forgot me. The didn't care to know my way about.

Tough time don't last

When I remember what my teacher also say; " you're the determinant of your destiny, your parents can only assist your purpose". I see this as a challenge, a big challenge.
Along the way of life, I see myself as a gateman without a secondary school level certificate. Why working there, I didn't see myself as a hopeless young boy. Rather I see myself as a young boy with visions. I deprived myself of so many things. I started saving money. During the period of my stay, I had received a lot of insults and ungodly words.
It got to a point my madam no longer called me by my name. Rather, she called me GATEMAN.
I always feel bittered each time she called me GATEMAN.
But I didn't see it as a long lasting something. I only see it as challenges and memories.

After saving a lot of money from my salaries, I was forced to resigned.
I stay in one of my friends apartment and register my WAEC. When the commencement of the exam began, I wrote it and pass in flying colours.
I got the result and took it back home. My parents rejoice with me and said, I have paid for my failure and the mistake I made the hard way. My parents added that I am a shining star in this family. The later changed their mine (They were determined) to further my education to university level. Dear brothers and sisters, it was the hardest time in my life. I can't imagine what I went through to achieve that.
