13th February 2024. One of the best days in my college. New students of the college have been welcomed through this program. Our college organized several other events around this event. I had a wonderful day with the prize distribution and the PITHA festival. So I want to share this beautiful diary with you.

I wake up in the morning and get fresh. I finish some of my homework very early to go to college. After having breakfast I leave for college. College rover scouts and BNCC organizations are given the responsibility to conduct this event of our college beautifully. So I dressed as a rover scout and went to college. I reached the college around ten in the morning. Then I met my friend. I reached college a little later than others. Then I and my colleagues do various tasks of managing the event.

Then slowly other students along with all new students attend the ceremony. They all take their seats and we make sure that there is no chaos. All the students have arrived and everything is ready for the event, we are just waiting for the guests. We were checking everything else including the sound system. After preparing everything properly we invite Sirs to conduct the event.

Then the guests and distinguished faculty gave various orientation speeches to the new students. We greet sirs with flowers. Then the speech went on for quite a long time.

Another important part of this event is the PITHA festival. On one side the honorable sirs are giving lectures and on the other side, other college students and various visitors are enjoying the PITHA festival. Various PITHA traditions of the Bengali nation are presented in this festival. This PITHA festival is organized by the students of our college.

A beautiful atmosphere has been created in the college around this PITHA festival. College students and visitors enjoyed the event. A variety of beautiful pithas are arranged and a whiteboard at the side lists the prices of the pithas. Visitors are looking at the list and purchasing various pies.

Many traditions of rural areas of Bangladesh are highlighted in this PITHA festival. All the things that have disappeared from the present society are highlighted. All the tools that Bengalis used to conduct their daily activities before modernization are highlighted. In this new generation, children get an idea about Bengali culture and Bengali tradition.

On the other hand, the lecture for the new students is over. Winners in various sports of the college will be awarded today at the same event. Then all the winning students are awarded by the distinguished guests and teachers. Here I have received an award.

After the prize distribution, the turn of the cultural program began. This cultural program is held on the same stage. College students present various plays. This cultural event had various performances including solo dance and group dance. College faculty enjoy it. Different cultures of Bengali were presented in this event. The students presented various memorable events of the Bengali nation through screenplays.

Then various students took pictures with the respected faculty. At the end of the photo session, the honorable faculty announced the end of the program.

After spending the whole day in various activities, we who were in charge of this event all decided to eat and drink at the college tonight. So we request sirs to arrange food for us at night. If sir gives us money, we bring it from the market and go to cook. Then some of them finish cooking together.

After the whole day's work, a small picnic took place at night. Then we discuss the day's activities. After dinner, we all leave for our respective homes.

I had a wonderful day despite being busy with the event. This was my diary today. stay well.
