Once a year we Muslims around the world celebrate a very special day for our very important faith and we are very happy when celebrating it, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad which we always commemorate on the 12th of Rabiul the beginning of the Hijri year. There is an interesting story that you will know when you can feel the happiness that is in our hearts right now. Starting from children to adults always want to celebrate this day as well as possible and can be felt by many people.

No Afdhal if I tell it without real action that will stir your heart to join us. Usually we commemorate the Prophet's birthday by cooking several menu dishes in large quantities and then taking them to the Meunasah or Mosque to then be distributed to invited guests and other remembrance children as well as to the people who were present there with minimal abilities.

We prepare our own ground spices and clean some meat, prawns, duck eggs and fish for cooking, and most importantly a lot of coconut for the coconut milk. And some other villages have a tradition of distributing pulut which is shaped like a cone and eaten with bananas and some are eaten with candied grated coconut.

Not only that, we also make special Maulid rice, which is rice cooked with spice oil that has been previously cooked. The spices in the rice are shallots, lemongrass, cumin, cinnamon, Lawang flowers, pandan leaves, bay leaves, ginger, candlenut, coriander, pepper, irritated, and if you want it colored you can add turmeric in it. Just add coconut milk into all the ingredients that have been sliced ​​thinly and cook until the coconut milk shrinks and turns into clear oil.

If there is savory rice, it is incomplete if there is no complementary menu that will add to the pleasure of this maulid rice, Chilli Coco. It is tempeh, chickpeas, small prawns, lots of chili, tomato, ginger, lemongrass and Coco put together in hot oil and cooked until fragrant and wilted.

There are several types of menus that my mother and I prepared to commemorate the birthday of the prophet this time, such as boiled salted duck eggs, shrimp sauce, fried tuna fish, white cooked duck, red cooked chicken, Cocoa chili, capcai vegetables, pulut cones, cucumber water, and crackers. And after we finished cooking everything, I immediately wrapped and put them in plastic one by one.

I just hope that what we are doing now can add to our feelings of emotion and share with others and can also teach future generations that this is proof of our love for our Apostle and proof of our love for our creator.
