The Power Of Showing Gratitude: Fostering Appreciation and Happiness In Daily Life

Warm greetings! I hope that everything is OK on your end. I want to start by expressing my gratitude to the Steem for Betterlife Community for organising this challenge. Take pleasure in this thrilling Steemit challenge hosted by @goodybest, and don't forget to participate. It gives me great pleasure to accept this task. I hope that was tested by everybody.

For me, the gratitude realizes from conscious recognition of all good things and people that live in our lives. To me, it is the internal light that illuminates an everyday event’s vision into a magnificent experience. It’s the lens through which we see a world that is overflowing in opportunities.

Those matters because the attitude of gratitude radically changes how we see our environment. Instead of focusing on what is lacking in our lives, it inspires us to appreciate the abundance right here with me. It therefore widens our investment perceptive to make us feel happier and have greater potentials. Moreover, it is proven that gratitude promotes happiness and wellness which are known to promote physical and mental health.

Gratitude has been linked to a host of physical and psychological benefits:These conclusions show that.

  • Improved Mental Health: Gratitude can improve the sense of well-being, valuability and life satisfaction as long as it mediates symptoms experienced due to depression.
  • Better Physical Health: When compared to who do not, those who practice gratitude are less likely to complain about aches and pains; have better rest at night as well serum markers of anamnesis activity that is cellular inflammation.
  • Enhanced Relationships: Thanking can make relationships better and maybe improve job satisfaction.
  • Increased Resilience: Those involved in gratitude have an edge at stemming trauma and heightened resilience.
  • law of attraction: gratitude supports and promotes law of attraction.

Being a person expressing emotions and personal experiences, I can say that gratitude manifests in various forms. For instance, one might say ‘thank you’ to a friend who has helped me or write him/her a note for doing good or great job like that. They can also thank a person by giving back to their community or simply enjoying nature’s beauty for some time.

Developing the habit of gratitude can be as easy and straightforward as mentally allocating a moment at day in order to meditate on things that you are appreciative for. This can be achieved by maintaining a gratitude journal that would require writing three things for which one is grateful everyday. This over a period can shape your brain to be more sensitive towards the positive sides of life and not inclined toward negative ones.

Other ways of Practicing gratitude into your daily life: This is recommended by the high numbers of researchers and psychologists.

  • Mindful Thankfulness: No matter how big or small any moment is in one’s life, it should be given a lot of attention and thanksgiving needed for such moments.
  • Express Gratitude to Others: Use the opportunity to communicate with people in your life that you're appreciative of them every now and then.
  • Gratitude Meditation: This involves meditating on what you are grateful for.

Gratitude can be instilled in toddlers through an exemplary leadership. Similarly the children learn from their elders, so expressing your own gratefulness openly and regularly would make them also to follow. Moreover, integrating the family routines with gratitude can make this habit more robust through practices such as sharing what each person is grateful for around dinner time.

As for books on gratitude, my recommendations:

  • Robert Emmons and Joanna Hill, "Words of Gratitude for Mind, Body, and Soul".
  • In “The Psychology of Gratitude,” Robert Emmons and Michael McCullough.

However, the specialist activity of being grateful is an individual pathway that can be hard and requires a lot of time and perseverance. However, it is worth all the angst. While summarize, gratitude is more than merely saying ‘thank you’; it is a way of thinking, an attitude towards life and one powerful asset for positive change. Why not start practicing more gratitude today? You will be grateful to your mind, body and soul.
