It's another day of the week and I'm delighted to participate in this contest today organized by @goodybest which talks about The Power Of Showing Gratitude: Fostering Appreciation and Happiness In Daily Life. I will be making my entry below so read through it and drop your valuable comment as it will be appreciated.

(1) What Is gratitude in your own opinion?

Gratitude to me means to show appreciation for what someone did for you be it a big something or a small something. This means that when someone does anything for you, you will say thank you to the person.

We say thank you to people when they do something for us and that is gratitude. When we show gratitude, it means we are happy with what the person has done and we are indirectly telling the person that his effort in doing that thing is appreciated.

So gratitude is for someone who appreciates something that is done for him or her. When you don't show gratitude it means you don't appreciate what the person did. So gratitude in my opinion is saying thank you.

(2) Why Does Gratitude Matter?

Gratitude matters because everyone wants to be appreciated for the work they do. What I mean is that if anyone does something for you, he or she will love to hear you comment on why he has done it because he or she will want to know if he should continue or not.

So gratitude matters because when you show gratitude it means you appreciate what the person has done and that will also make the person want to do more because you have appreciated the little he or she did.

To me, gratitude matters because it serves as an open door for more things to be done in your favour. I can only do more for someone who shows gratitude for the little I did.

(3) How often do you show Gratitude? (give instances)

Gratitude should be shown every moment and time and the reason is that the more gratitude you show, the more you will get more favour.

A good instance is telling God to thank you for everything he has been doing for you. You and I know that we can't thank God enough hence all you need to do is to appreciate him every moment we have because of the breath we have.

Showing gratitude to God always moves him to do more for you. Instead of complaining about your predicament, give thanks because if you look at others situations you will find out that yours is far better.

(4) How Can you Make Gratitude a Habit, And how do you inculcate it in young ones?

Making gratitude a habit as a person is not very difficult all you need is to practice it and it will become part of you in no distance time. For example, when you always wake up in the morning and then thank God for the gift of another day and also when you come back in the night you thank God for everything.

You can inculcate this in the life of your younger ones when you do it often with them or in their presence. Children learn more from what they see their elderly ones doing. So when you do this often in their presence, you are teaching them and they will learn and get used to it faster.
