The diary game on Farmers Day; A hectic day in the field
Hello to everyone on this platform and in this community. I hope you all are hanging in there as always. I come your way again with a post on how my day went on Farmers' Day. The first Friday in December is celebrated as a Farmers Day in Ghana and it is a holiday.
While everyone was planning on celebrating their holidays, I was preparing on going to work. It was a holiday for everyone, but I was preparing to go to the field to pick samples for testing. I woke up very early to finish up some stuff before leaving for the field. I washed a little, ironed some clothes, took my bath, and left for the field.
We were a team of five, a car picked us up and off we went to the field. Trust me, the weather was not favourable. The Harmattan season has set in and we are bearing its generous acts. Our first stop was a place called Chiana. We stopped there for about 3 hours to pick up the samples and then took off for our second stop.
We again stopped at Wuru to continue taking the samples. We spent about two hours there and left for our next stop. The next stop was Kayoro. Kayoro was a bit far so we had to be on the road for quite a while. While on the journey, we were because the last time we visited the place, we had a punctured tyre.
God being so good, we got there without any problems and took our samples. We took our last samples at 17:00 hours. We came across eateries that were full of people celebrating their holidays but here we were spending ours in the field. After the last sample, we left for the lab in Navrongo. That was about 2 hours drive. We got to the lab very tired. We logged the samples into the system and left for our various houses.
The day was very hectic. I needed a massage but I couldn’t go get one. All the same, it was a good day and I can’t wait to go to the field again. It was a very nice experience. I hope you enjoyed my post and I will continue to share with you my experience anytime I visit the field.
Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.
It is rather unfortunate you could not enjoy the holidays but you have to go to work. I hope the next coming holiday you will get the opportunity to enjoy it.
Greetings and keep sharing.
