Greetings to all Steemians and I'm happy to find myself in this community to share with you the recent program held by The Apostolic church Ikom Town Area, Northern Field, Cross River State.

The program was a four (4) days Major convention that took place every morning, afternoon, and evening for four days. I was glad when I heard the theme of the convention to be The Church the Body of Christ. This topic was a good one and this help the people to have the knowledge that we are one body in Christ Jesus.

Day One

The Church the body of Christ

The day one started on Thursday evening which was the 20th of June over 23rd. The first day we had a message from the servant of God about what we are carrying. He stressed the topic that as a child of God, you should not fear because the Lord is with you.

This message helps to strengthen the faith of the entire members of the church as the body of Christ.

The Second Preacher emphasizes on becoming the Pillar of the church. He gave us instances that so many are looking up to you who is the Pillar of the church.

He used the church pillar to demonstrate his point as a child of God becoming a pillar of the church. In his words, showed us how and what Pillars are made of.

Content of a Pillar

Trumpeters

A pillar is made up of the following:

1. Sand
2. Gravel
3. Cement

If the above materials are in one believer, such a believer is seen as a pillar in the church of Christ.

He also said all members can't be the same because some represent tiles, ceiling fans, windows, etc. But we should know that all these different parts have their part to play as they contribute towards building and increasing the work of Christ.

Note, that those items used represent Christians, seeing themselves as one in the body of Christ.

Sunday Service

Sunday service started very early with the Sunday school section. By 8:00am, the main service started.

There was too much rejoicing and praise especially when we went out to witness Christ. The man of God preached the gospel to the people of the community and many of them saw the need for repentance and giving their lives to God.

As the preacher was still on stage, many had drawn nearer and space was made for them to stand and listen to the word of God.

Carrying the theme of the convention along as the church the body of Christ, he told the masses that we are all children of God as we can not do without the other.

He also made the masses understand that they are useful instruments in the house of God. He stressed that all they need to see the grace of God, is to come out from the world and accept Jesus as their Lord and savior.

The message pierced the hearts of the people as all those around them rushed to give their lives to Jesus the one who can be saved.

In conclusion, the convention was a success and we thank the Lord for adding more souls to the church.
