The dairy game for 14th May 2024- A day of unusual duty at work.

Serving and caring for people has always been my passion, my day started as early as 3am my patient are all calm throughout the night so it was not stressful observing and managing them I work up to read to refresh my knowledge because as a health care worker we have to always expand our knowledge.

I read till around 5am before checking my patient and notice they are still sleeping although I check their vitals sign before reading I decided to let them be for a while but their relatives were all awake so I informed them to get warm water available for bathing and food ready before they wake up. They finally woke up around 6am and I checked their vitals and records it, give instructions on how to perform personal hygiene and when they are done eating I serve their medications.

By 6:30am I received a call from my metron that she is sick and will not be able to come to work today that I should cover up for this morning immunization. Immediately I know it was going to be a stressful day. I started contemplating maybe to go home and rush back to the hospital before immunization start by 9am but as I was thinking outpatient start coming and I can't leave the doctor alone without a nurse on duty so I decided to stay but today I started immunization early around 8:30am as they were coming I start taking their registration by 9 exactly we started and we finished around 12:10pm

I was very hungry immediately I round up I took permission and left the hospital by the time I arrived home all I want to do is rest by I was hungry at the same time I quickly made pap and drink when I check the time it was 12:30pm I have to join an online program which I joined and we finished round 1:40pm I immediately took my bath and sleep I was really exhausted it been long I run two shift at a go.

I woke up by 5pm and remember I have to type and print a letter for my boss and also need a bag of sachet water. I got dressed wear my cloth and went to the cafe to type it and on my way back I branch in a shop where they sell water I buy a bag by the time I got home it was already 6pm

I have no choice than to make akara again this night and eat. I resume duty by 6:50pm there was no patient because the baby relatives got discharged against medical advice since I was already tired I just put my head on the table and sleep since it is still early to lay down I might just remain like this till around 12am if no patient show off. That how my day comes to an end.
