Review of 7 Types of Animals in Indonesia whose Habitats Are Continually Protected
Animal conservation is an important aspect of efforts to preserve animals through maintenance and breeding so that the ecosystem continues to live, so far many rare animals in Indonesia have become extinct due to hunting.
Case after case it was found that wild animals were caught because they were sold abroad, even though as law-abiding citizens, they should continue to maintain their sustainability.
Entrepreneurs and the government have made efforts to continue to preserve wildlife with the aim of conservation, education, research and recreation.
I will review several types of endangered animals in the Aceh Besar District Animal Park, Aceh Province.
1. BLUE PEAFOWL |
---|
Species : Pavo cristatus |
The Blue Peacock is one of the birds that looks very charming, this bird has a length of up to 230 cm, the tail will look impressive like a fan, this bird consumes seeds, shoots of leaves and insects.
2. Sumatran tiger |
---|
Species : Panthera tigris sondaica |
Sumatran tigers are known as tigers that are smaller than tigers in general, this tiger's habitat is starting to become extinct due to human activities, I just saw this type of tiger in a zoo, he looks very fierce even though he is in a room made of glass and concrete walls.
3. Crocodile |
---|
Species : Crocodilus Porosus |
This reptile is a large-bodied species with a length of more than 5 meters and weighing 1250 kg, it looks like it is very old with sharp teeth and is starting to get moldy, this crocodile seems to sleep with its mouth open.
4. Sun Bear |
---|
Species : Helarctos malayanus |
Sun Bear is a type of bear that is smaller than bears in general, based on information from a tour guide, this bear was imported from Bengkulu last year, there is a pair of bears in this park and the manager is trying to breed them so that their habitat is not extinct.
5. Brahminy Kite |
---|
Species : Haliatus Indus |
This eagle, like other eagles in general, uses its claws to prey, this eagle looks more elegant with its white feathered head and smaller size than usual.
6. Green Iguana |
---|
Species : Iguana Iguana |
This animal is quite interesting when viewed from the color, but when viewed from close range it is a little scary because its long tongue sticks out very closely for food, its movement is slow and it is easy to camouflage.
7. Ostrich |
---|
Species : Struthio camelus |
The ostrich deserves to be named after its name, its long neck and large body, this bird only lays eggs when it reaches 3 to 4 years of age with the number of eggs reaching 20 eggs.
That a brief review of endangered animals in the Zoo in North Aceh Regency, actually there are many other types of animals that can be reviewed, but I only chose 7 types of animals that were reviewed.
