Wise use and utilization of technology must be considered as an important part for users. It will be very vulnerable when users only use existing technology but do not limit the confidentiality of their data.
What happened? Cases of online fraud are increasingly occurring through communication media such as cell phones, they target users who already have track records spread online. The data that has been obtained can be used as the main capital to deceive cell phone users. This is worrying...!
Do you know an application that can read the caller's number even though you have never saved it in your mobile contact list? I think this is not a new product, where Android or iOS users can download and use it for free. The application will display caller information if using a registered number.
Get Contact is an Android and iOS based application that can be downloaded from the Play Store or App Store. There are many conveniences obtained from this application, firstly, you can download the free version or choose to upgrade with the paid version.
The feature that detects callers is a mainstay for users, making it easier to identify callers who are not registered in contacts. But unfortunately this feature is used by fraudsters to search for user data that has been stored in other users' phone lists.
I will display one of the views of the web version of Get Contact, where my name as the owner of the cellular number is stored differently.
The list of names that appears can be used as a reference to get to know the caller with the user's character, for example my name there is saved with the full name, adding my work history as a Field Quality Control (FQCA) or my current job at the North Aceh Health Service (North Aceh Health Office) ` and various other last names that I did not display in full.
Information recorded from other users' contact traces can be misused by fraudsters to identify potential targets for fraud, they already have a history that makes it possible to link some of the information obtained to deceive users.
Nowadays in Indonesia there have been many cases of fraud in the name of family, friends, co-workers or other emotional relationships. They call their targets and ask for a certain amount of money, or fill out a telephone package. So, by having an existing track record, it will be very easy for fraudsters to convince their targets to fulfill their wishes.

The first step that needs to be taken is to visit the official Get Contact App page, https://getcontact.com/ is the official website that can be visited to set profile privacy in this application.
The next step is as in instruction number 2, you can scroll to the last page of the website and find Manage Your Privacy Profile.
After following the guide above, you will be directed to the next step by filling in the cell phone number you are using.
Next, press continue to enter the next stage.
After entering the cell phone number correctly, the web will display 2 WhatsApp options that will be used to scan the Baracode.
Because I am an Android cellphone user, I chose the Android logo to scan the barcode. The image beside shows the barcode which you can scan with WhatsApp on the Android/IOs you are using. The system will send a secret code and send it to the official number that appears automatically.
Press Send like sending a message in general and return to the website when you make the settings.
When you return to the website homepage, a display like the image below will appear, select visibility settings. The image beside shows that currently the system is active (seen in the on position) and to deactivate it, press it to off.
In the last part, you only need to agree to the activity changes you made by pressing the yes button, and information about your profile data will not appear in the Get Contact search.
By deactivating this service, it means you cannot access this application again. The solution is to use another cellular telephone number which is used as a cellular internet package card.
