Hi Friends I hope you are great, I'm here to continue with the discussion I had last week about the importance of communication for life We learn so many things from this post that even animals and plants used to communicate among themselves. But then humans' way of communication is simply unique and intelligent and this is because God created us in his image.

For instance we humans are the only creatures who can name, and we name things effortlessly this is a divine trait because I learned from the Bible that after he created the Light God called it day, and the Darkness he called Night. Do you know that Jehovah gives all the uncountable stars in heaven names? Magnificent. right?

After God created Adam he gave him an assignment naming all the animals, he must be observant and creative! Adam named his wife Eve and his wife named their first son Cain, since then we humans have not spared effort in naming every conceivable thing all in the interest of communication.

It will be difficult to have intelligent communication without names, and we have many other communication skills besides the desire and ability to name things, some are nonverbal, like tender feelings, etc.

Helpful Hints To Improve Our Communication Skills:

1) Listen With Interest When Others Speak, And Do Not Dominate Conversations: We tend to overlook a slip in grammar or a mispronounced word but we don't like someone who does all the talking without listening to others. We should be quick about hearing and listening but slow to speak. Be interested in life and the things around you, read more but judiciously. Be modest and humble when you discuss what you've learned with others.

2) Enlarge Your Vocabulary With Practical Words: Make it an aim to learn at least 5 words every day note not showy terms that will draw attention to you when speaking. Always use simple and clear words when speaking with people, not words that people will find difficult to understand.

3) Speak Clearly, and Pronounce Words Correctly: Try and avoid sounding extremely precise or affected. Be well articulated and refrain from mumbling or cutting off word endings, paying attention to these details will dignify your speech and do kindness to your listeners.

4) And Finally Acknowledge that your communication skills are God-given gifts as this will motivate you to accord those skills due respect.

I hope you will apply these skills in your day-to-day conversations with people both here on the platform and in real life. See you!

Yesss ma.. I’ll apply all this skills both here and on the platform…😊😊

Make it an aim to learn at least 5 words every day note not showy terms that will draw attention to you when speaking.

When you made this statement, I just remembered Sam loco and one nigerian politician that is always speaking big big grammars to confuse the house of reps and speaker..

Haha 😂 you reminded me of the veteran Nollywood actor, he was one of his kind! I'm glad that you like the tips and will apply them, thank you so much for visiting me!

Helpful hints indeed
Being a good listener is essential but today people rather want to be heard than listening. And it's also important to have a beneficial contribution after listening.
And using big grammar, Omo it depends on who I'm talking to oo they're people who like to be showy of what they know so I try to prove that I also know small😂😂 until I cut my tongue
