Steemit Engagement Challenge S5-W6: THE END…”
We have come to the end of the engagement challenge for week 6 and I'm so glad to be part of this week's contest.
In this week's contest we have been asked to write on whatever we want to, so I will be writing on something more like a motivational speech with the topic "The struggle within".
Everyday we are faced with choices. Choices staring at us and we at them ( choices). There is a constant surge between our personalities and our choices. The question is who would win this war, our choices or our personalities.
There are so many struggles one could have. It could be struggle with finance, academics, relationship and so on. But of all these the greatest kind of struggle a man (male or female) could have is the struggle with himself. The struggle within is always a silent one and at such it could be a silent killer.
I believe the greatest enemy one could have is himself. It could be really difficult to win the battle between you and yourself.
All over the world today there has been an increase in the number of suicides. Now when you hear the word suicide it sounds like a big scary word and then you would be like why would anyone even think of this. But it starts with just a thought or perhaps just a feeling.
Learn to share your problems with people close to you: There is a saying that "a problem shared is a problem solved". No matter how personal or private you think your challenges are, they are never private enough to be bottled up in our hearts.
Learn to look beyond the present situation no matter how ugly it may look: Behind every darkness, you can always find a light. I believe this is what gave rise to the statement "light at the end of the tunnel". You may be in a tunnel, but that doesn't stop the light from shining where it ought to or it doesn't change the position of the light, all you have to do is take a little more steps and you will find the light.
We are a product of our thoughts and imaginations. If you can solve the struggle within you then you can move any mountain before you. So in the end never let your challenges pull you down.
