Steemit Engagement Challenge S5-W4: My 5 Senses

Introduction

The diary game can only be fulfilled with the utilization of the 5 senses. There is no way you are going to spend the day without utilizing all, as a person without a disability even some sick persons can still utilize these senses daily. Permit me to take you on a ride about how I have utilized my senses for the day, dated 04/11/2022.

What I Saw Today

My day began quite early for the day under consideration for this diary and after my silent time I picked up my phone, as such the first very useful thing or device I see today was my mobile phone. I'm gonna see more today because I am stepping out to the local market to get a few things.

It's normal to handle some chores in the house morning, I did a few ones like cleaning the house and eventually bath before heading out of the house.

At the local market was a fire disaster that started in a business building and spread to the other building beside it. It was a disaster no one wants to experience. I heard about the news the previous day and I was there to see the event myself.

I have taken live images from the disaster scene and videos of the clearing of the collapsed building (the second building affected). I will share the news from the event in my next article (it's going to be picture and video news), it was quite a disheartening and pathetic event. I left the place and headed to the market, something else happened in the market and I will discuss it in the next section.

What I Heard

The first few hours were utilized for listening to music and that has always been my practice over time. While performing the chores and getting ready for the market, I was listening to music all through. Some of the music I have listened to in the morning are mostly local gospel songs, some Afropop songs like "Champion" by Fireboy DML ft D Smokeand other pop songs like "Holy" by Justin Bieber ft Chance and many others both from my library and streaming.

At the market, just when I wanted to buy fish from a vendor I heard the news about a man who has taken an insecticide known as Sniper together with alcohol, intentionally or not, nobody knows. Sniper insecticide has been an instrument of suicide in Nigeria over the years and on that day I witness a life that is about to end due to the consumption of the deadly product.

I moved to the scene to take a picture when a unpleasant event happened, I was condemned by the same local forces for getting closer and taking a picture, likewise, the local market women condemned it, I stood my ground but sometimes claiming some rights in an environment like that, you would hardly succeed especially when almost 15 people are against it.

But you know what? When police are at a scene like this, their presence is felt while instructing people to stay back.

Unfortunately, the police at the scene are those without uniforms and you can hardly distinguish them from other local market people, lol, a lot needs to be corrected in this country. So, it wasn't my fault to move closer to see what was going on especially when I thought no one was attending to the situation.

My phone was snatched from me while the police deleted the image, lol. I left the scene and said in my mind, " If I have power in this society, would they have done this?", this people would understand the law when people like me attains power in different realms in the nearest future. I left the scene quite unhappy and was unable to take pictures of other events. One more thing, I listened to "Straightenin" by the Migos, a group that recently lost one of them, Takeoff.

I listened to a lot more music today via my mobile phone and music channels on Cable TV.

The Odors Perceived Today

My sense of smell is working perfectly and today, I perceived some odors that are pleasant and others that are not.

The odors that I notably perceived were outdoors and the first one was from a trash truck while packing the trash dropped at a designated place, for disposal. You don't want to pass by when the truck is working.

There was a bakery around the market and I can perceive the sweet and pleasant aroma of their confectioneries. In addition, I perceived the aroma of roasted corn at night.

What I Tasted Today

And for this morning after I had returned from the market, I showered because it was a very hot day with the sun very harsh right from the early hours of the day, unfortunately, there was no power supply at that time but a cold shower helped a little. For breakfast (close to noon), I had bread and spread, and 100% fruit juice (no sugar).

At night, I made a local meal known as Amala eaten with soup from Jute leaf and fish soup. In addition, I have branched at a local roasted corn spot and got two corns which was eaten before dinner.

What I Touched Today

I started the day by touching my Mobile phone, this is something I can hardly do without all day which was followed by a sweeper while cleaning the house. I touched some kitchen utensils like plates, spoons, forks, dishwashing liquid, and sponges while washing used plates in the morning. And touched more of the kitchen utensils while cooking my dinner.

I have recently joined a Church football team in my town and for the day, I stepped out for training which means I touched the ball today.

At a point, while I was on the substitute bench during the training session, I touched my phone as well which allowed me to place a trade in the BNB market, if you follow the market these days, BNB, ETH, and a few others can be used to make an entry for some short-term trades (in both directions).

I placed a buy entry because I'm certain of the further uptrend (after a higher low on the market structure). The resistance at 358 was my TP1 and it eventually hits it. I don't take my phone to football training sessions (to avoid theft from viewers) but I had my friend follow me today, who held the phone for me while I was on the pitch and that even allowed me to be productive in checking the market behavior and spotting opportunities.

In addition, I touched my laptop at night when I helped my friend to work on a letterhead design and proofread the content of a letter he sent to me earlier.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my 5 senses were well utilized for the day in various ways some of which are pleasant and others that are not but at the end of it all, the overall experience was great.
