Weekends Diary (Side hustle, new shoes, food culture...) Steem For Better Life. (10/12/22-11/12/22)

Hello fam 👋 I hope everyone is having a good day. Alhamdulillah I’m good too. Here’s an update of how my weekends are going so far.

To begin with, this particular weekends came earlier than expected. I want to believe that we all skip a day or two to get here. Because left to me, I’ll say that just yesterday was Monday and I couldn’t wait to go to school, how come today is Sunday already? Well I think the answer that’s not really matter.

As a classroom teacher, I have just two days in a week to do anything else productive after teaching maths and science from Monday to Friday.
I usually do not do any chores at home on weekends. I don’t go to church neither (because I’m a Muslim) and I don’t chill on weekends too (because myself and my account don’t have the facilities for that😂). Anyway on weekends, I do a side hustle. My brother sell carpets and home used doormats right opposite the Tamale sports stadium. So on weekends and some holidays, I help him to sell. We have been selling carpets on the road since 2010. I sold carpets and doormats even before I went to the university. This business has been my backbone ever since I started fending myself and my siblings. Half of the school fees I paid throughout my university was from this business. The business has been slow since the economic and inflation crisis in the country started. It has been tough these days but alhamdulillah we are not giving up.

On Saturday, I put on a simple outfit. A black trouser, a short sleeve white and black shirt and my new converse shoes. I love converse shoes so much. They are simple, comfortable and universal and most importantly, they are affordable. I bought two pairs ( a low top and a high top) for gh100 (7.7$). This one is the fourth pair I’ve bought this year and I don’t regret even one. They’re probably fake but who cares? If it looks like converse then it’s converse.

I later watched the thrilling world games. Football is most beautiful and interesting sport and it’s not even a debate. If you doubt me, catch a single World Cup game and come here and vomit your confession.

                        **11/12/22**

I woke up late today so I had to skip breakfast. I prayed quickly and after I finished bathing, I brushed my teeth and put on my other new converse pair (high top). I bought brunch on the roadside and took it to my carpets and doormats store. It was a white rice , vegetables sauce and a boiled egg. I got a small bottle of coke to wash it down

It’s a bright day today. The streets are busy and hopefully I’ll make some sales before it gets dark.
