Contest - My Childhood!!!
My childhood wasn't really the best but I know for sure that it wasn't the worst. I partially enjoyed my childhood and somehow didn't get to enjoy it. I was raised by strict parents who were also unavailable because they were so into their career, so I didn't really have who to share my ugly experience and issues bothering me with as they were both always too busy to hear me out.
What I liked about my childhood was the fact that I had everything I ever needed, I was also pampered in fact in terms of material things I can proudly say I lacked nothing. I went to one of the best schools in town, I had a personal driver who dropped and picked me up. The school I attended back then was really expensive and not affordable so we were very few in the school and the classes were scanty and filled with people of the same financial status quo. I had all the toys I wanted back then, in fact I wished such days never got to end.
On the other hand, what I disliked about my childhood was the unavailability of my parents, they were rarely available as they were both into their career which made them neglect their child. Another thing I disliked about my childhood was the fact that I had no friend, I wasn't allowed to socialize with other children because I was always locked up at home, my parents believed the toys were enough company. This actually made me feel so timid and shy as I wasn't used to crowds and was already used to being alone. This are deeply into my social life and constantly affected me till date as I find it interesting to be alone.
Did you enjoy your childhood? |
---|
No, I didn't enjoy my childhood because of constantly being left alone. I gradually became a loner and even when I got to college I still couldn't socialize with my peers and I couldn't make friends. I found it difficult to come out of my shell. But in terms of material things, yes, I enjoyed my childhood but growing up I realized how bad it has affected me especially my social life.
What is the first childhood memory? |
---|
I don't think I have any spectacular childhood memories as it was filled with boredom and nothing to light up my day and mood.
Did you have a lot of friends when you were young? |
---|
No,I never had friends as a child I only tried to gather a few growing up as an adult but I still find it difficult to flow perfectly with them even though I'm trying to adjust.
Do you think it is better for children to grow up in cities or villages? |
---|
Well, growing up in cities has advantages to growing up in the village. Growing up in cities you get to attend modern schools with proper infrastructure and a conducive learning environment and it's almost not so in the village.
Learning in the city you get more exposed to happenings around you and ways to react to certain situations, and a lot more advantage of schooling in the city . I'll choose the city over and over again.

Your childhood was just full of mixed feelings though it's amazing to have everything you wanted but it's so sad to lack the initial parental care.
So sorry it got to affect your social life up till now but you need to snap out of it and move forward.
