"Steemit Engagement Challenge S9-W5: "Seeing is believing" versus "Knowing is believing"
Source edited
Seeing is Believing
The difference between faith and trust is when we see something. If you try to find the meaning of trust and trust, then usually the meaning of these two words is seen to be the same. In common life, these two words are also used in more or less the same sense. So, the difference between belief and trust, and why don't we believe until we see it is neither wrong nor impractical?
Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.
Saint Augustine
But does it satisfy you?
Seeing is Believing vs.Knowing is Believing
If you see, belief or trust are used for both words. But if we try to look at some of its other synonyms, then the difference between the two becomes a bit clearer. If you have faith, you will find words like "faith" and "assurance." Wherein, if you look for trust, you will find words like reliance, hope, and support. So we believe only when we see the truth.
This belief of mine proved to be a lifesaver for me at the time of the MBA examination. Before the exam, I was afraid that I would forget everything I studied. But when I cleared my exam easily, I believed that I could do this.
If you look at both now, do you see any difference in the meaning of these two? If you don't want to trust something unless you see it or if it is not visible, then it does not matter, because the truth remains true whether you can see it or not.
The- Moral - Message
When we have a definite belief about something that it is true and that it exists, then it is called belief. It is not necessary that reason always serve as the basis of belief. It is actually the personal space of a particular person where he has a definite and firm belief in certain things.
Nothing can be said with certainty about whether this is true or false because it can be so subjective that what is unbelievable for you may be true. Sometimes we form a definite and firm belief about something even on the basis of a guess, and there is nothing wrong with that provided you have firm faith in your belief.
To convince is to make a belief firm in someone's mind. On the other hand, betrayal is deceiving someone by assuring them of your trust. A person who can be trusted is called a confidante, that is, one who is reliable or trustworthy. Yes, that's true to some extent, so when I hear something which sounds unbelievable, I want to confirm it and check its facts, either online or on TV.
Relying on someone by placing a burden on him or being dependent on him is a sign of trust. It is a state of mind in which there is hope and belief in the help of a particular person when we need it, but we believe it when it happens in reality. So yes, in this case, you can say that seeing is believing.
Now you must have understood that in reliance, hope, and support, there is a sense of being dependent in a way. For example, I have decided to marry on trust. It is necessary for a person to be trusted to be capable; he should also be firm in his promises.
The overall difference between trust, confidence, and seeing is believing that the person who trusts expects timely work or help from the person whom he trusts.
Where there is a sense of faith, dedication, and satisfaction, there is a sense of belief. However, in spite of all this, we do not want to believe easily unless we see things and their reality with our own eyes, and that's one way of using common parlance since the sense becomes clear. It does mean we don't believe these things, but we do it to make sure we are doing things in the right way.
But just because we want to make sure, we can think that the person who is saying "I have full faith in you that you will do this". To believe is one of the most difficult things in human life. There is often conflict going on in his mind, so he always wants to make sure and feels that seeing is believing.
To believe is one of the most difficult things in human life. There is often conflict going on in his mind. Sometimes he has to know something is true, and sometimes the same thing is false. Sometimes one sees a rope and feels like he saw a snake or the other way around unless he sees it with his own eyes. That's why one can't trust anyone and remains in a state of confusion.
Sometimes one doesn't want to believe in God because he has never seen him. But this is his faith that makes him believe in him; otherwise, God was no more than an idol of clay or stone. One who believes in the existence of God believes that God is real.
