Your security pins are secret code that should be kept safe to gain access to your various account they meant for. Here on steem it, we refer to some of these pins as keys. Hence, it is expedient that you keep your password and keys very safe and not share with anyone.
Here, I'll be analysing what each keys are meant for and accounts they can access.
At the initial stage of registering your account, you were given a MASTER PASSWORD. This password is the most dominant and crucial of it all. It is the general key you can use to retrieve the other ones.
Then you will be asked to download a PDF file that includes some other keys for your account security.
PRIVATE POSTING KEY
This key is used for logging in into your Steemit account. It helps in the process of votes and comments on post in Steemit.
PRIVATE ACTIVE KEY
This key is used to access anything fund related on Steemit. You can use this key to transfer fund and anything wallet related.
PRIVATE OWNER KEY
This key is used to recover your account in 30days if there is an error in your account or if your account get blocked. It is also used to reset all other keys too.
PRIVATE MEMOS KEY
This key is used to deposit money in your account. Depositing money in your account is very vital, so this key should be kept very safe.
TRON PRIVATE KEY
The Tron private key is used for signing transactions that are Tron relevant, like transferring tokens, freezing and voting. It has the highest authority and most important on your TRON account.
Finally, you are advised to retrieve all your keys and have them saved in your notes. You can as well back them up in your mail, drive or any other online storage devices. The bottom line is, your access to your steemit account depends on these keys.
