Are You a Patient Person?

Am not a very patient person especially when it comes to dealing with people but it's something have being working on and am still working on it. Before now i would say i lacked every virtue of being patient but situations that have encountered in life are what am learning patience from it's not easy but i know one of the virtues you needs to succeed is patience and especially when you're dealing with people infact you need extreme patience while dealing with human beings.

What is the importance of maintaining patience in life?

Patience is very important in life as you need it. There are some things that you will come up to only with time and you cannot cut the process. When i was a child i so much wanted to be an adult because i loved the way adults were respected but i could not wave a magic word and become an adult over night i had to wait for the process of becoming an adult.

When was the last time you lost your patience? What is the reason?

I recently lost my patience with my cell member recently. Have observed that she does not like to take instructions, always dragging to do this and it was very annoying to me. Have been patient with her but i just got offended when i gave her an instruction and all that came out of her mouth was different excuses why she could not do it.

Have always told her that excuses do not take people anywhere, if she keeps giving excuses concerning everyday she will be able to achieve little or no thing in life.

Tell us four tricks to increase patience.

There are several ways to increase patience;

1.Keep quiet when you are offended, do not respond. At such times it is better to walk away because words spoken out of anger are usually regretted.

2.Be intentional about it. Things don't happen without some level of intentionality. When you notice you're not someone that is very patient with people, the first way to grow in patience is intentionality. Be ready to work on it.

3.Read books that will help you work on it. They are books to shows you the virtues of patience, get such books and study as you study you begin to know why you should apply patience in life especially when dealing with people and understanding produces results.

4.Look for opportunities to practical what you're learning. Don't just be about theory but practicalize it.When opportunities present itself for you to act on what you have been learning seize the opportunity and utilize it.
