Steemit Engagement Challenge S9-W3: "Kindness that changed my life

I bring you warm greetings from my end, I want to sincerely appreciate the steemit team and the entire steemit blog for such an opportunity for persons like me to partake in this contest and to also be a user of the platform. Going through the Steemit blog this evening, I was captivated by this wonderful contest topic; " Kindness that changed my life" and I am glad to show my participation so keep reading to understand with me in the above topic.

During my undergraduate, I was just 18 years old when I started and I felt so inferior to the point that I will be scared of engaging with my colleagues because I was the smallest amongst them all. With time I got used to the environment and my colleagues but it wasn't funny at all.

God in his kindness blessed me with a friend, a mentor, and a mother. Her name is Dorcas, I started my registration just by the grace of God, there was not enough money for registration and transportation money that would cost me in the process, Mrs. Dorcas met me at the comfort zone of the campus and gave me a black leather and in there was garri, Maggi and noddles.

Immediately I asked her what is It for? she said she felt like blessing someone's life and for that whole week before she gave me the foodstuff I was having just a tuber of yam in my room, I was so surprised and since then I knew God is everywhere, he sees and knows all we are passing through.

Oh my God! That moment was so emotional. It was something I never expected at all but it happened and I was hopeless at that week of my registration. Mrs. Dorcas is a woman I never knew in my entire life, she blessed and saved my life, the emotions I got and was feeling were surprising, and believing that the almighty liveth anf he lives forever to always help his own.

The impact of Mrs. Dorcas was emotional. The impact was great, I felt it right within my soul and skull. I felt the impact is as well spiritual because it reminds me of the one I serve, Mrs. Dorcas' act of kindness impacted me positively, I believed it was God's plan because he knows I was desperately in need. The impact has taught me a lot and has left me with a message for life.

I have learned a great lesson from the incident between myself and Mrs. Dorcas. The lesson I learned was to be cheerful to people around, for Mrs. Dorcas to move a step toward looking for someone to bless her life she must have decided in her mind to make such a sacrifice and after which God directed her to who should be given that gift. I must learn to give and to give cheerfully.

Sure! The impact of her kindness has changed my mentality and way of thinking, since from that day I received a gift from Mrs. Dorcas, I had it in mind to start giving to people I am led to give, I have learned to treat others kindly because a lot of persons are passing through a lot whereby giving a kind gesture of talking to them would be a huge way of showing kindness to them.

Yes of course! I met Mrs Dorcas in my very first year and she was in her final year. As I kept moving in my studies, I feel the newcomers i.e JJC (journey just come) need help and the act of kindness. Such an act of kindness could just be a word with them to know their problems and possibly help where and when necessary. In my final year, I made sure I take a good look at anyone that looks worried and helpless.

In conclusion friends, I am glad to have this opportunity to share my experience on the above topic, dear friends, any form of kindness to a human is a blessing and such a person would feel saved within the time of your kindness to him or her.
