Yeah, you are right! To be successful, it's not required a college degree. There are many examples of this.
"I failed and drop out from school, and my colleagues pass and graduated from and some are now working for me"
But I think it's not good to get fooled by these types of quotes. He is an extraordinary person. If you have the chance to get a degree it will not be in vain. Still, you can be a Bill Gates. All the things we can do without a college degree can be done with a college degree. And it's not the same for vice versa. Education (not just a college degree), is another kind of satisfaction just as much as cars/ big houses, at least for some people.
And to be fair, there's nothing dumber than thinking having a college degree only will make you successful. And to think less of others.
It's just the attitude to be successful. Nor the degree or anything.
