BLACK FRIDAY-WRITE AND WIN// BEAUTY OF NATURAL FLOWERS by @comrade01
Hello steemians
Welcome to my post.
In this post, I'll love to participate in the contest held Inspiracion, Irawandedy, Fantvwiki, Ngoenyi & Patjewell.
The first project for World Smile South Africa was launched earlier this month. WSP SA is hoping to put smiles on the faces of children by donating a touch interactive whiteboard system to Cedarwood Learning Centre, in Ballito, South Africa. It is time for South Africa’s WSP Project!
In aid of support of this project, WE are bringing Black Friday to Steemit!
For this contest, I will like to make a post about photography of flowers.
Flowers are beautiful, some serve for medicinal purposes while others can be used to beautify the home.
Let's start this with a photo of a sunflower.
In the eastern part of Nigeria, sunflowers are very common, making it less attractive to the native of the east but irrespective of how many times I see it in a day, I always see it's unfathomable beauty.
The second photo here is that of a cashew tree.
The fruit produced by this plant is very sweet and at the same time, nutritious. It provides vitamin C and other nutrients which is vital in the formation of white blood cells.
Next up, there is sida acuta.
This flower is not only beautiful, but it also has some medicinal importance. In the east, it is used as remedy to malaria, and fever.
I don't really know about this flower, but I saw it when I was taking the photos of other flowers and I decided to take a picture of it because of it's beauty.. I'll really appreciate it if anyone tell me about this flower
According to hindawi.com,
There are a lot of uses for M. malabathricum reported in folk medicine, but not supported by clinical data [23–25]. Generally, various parts (e.g., leaf, roots, and/or barks) of the plant are used in Malay, Indian, and Indonesian folk medicines to treat various types of ailments and diseases, for example, diarrhoea, dysentery, leucorrhoea, hemorrhoids, cuts and wounds, infection during confinement, toothache, stomachache, flatulence, sore legs, and thrushsource
For the last picture, I'll love to show you my favourite flower while growing up as a Nigerian Igbo child. I don't really know what it's called out there but we call it "sugar flower" when I was growing up as a child.
Reason for this name "sugar flower" is that when we remove the top part of it, we suck the liquid inside and it gives a very pleasant taste to us.. we use to go to the bush In search of this flower attimes but currently, I'm laughing at those days😹
I made a video compilation of some flowers though..
video made using capcut
All images belongs to me and were taken with my techno spark 4 mobile phone.
