Greetings to everyone in this community. This is another review on rural Transportation and organising such a review like this is worthwhile so I give @irawandedy the credit for doing so weekly because things increases day by day and we need to curtail the way we use things and the things we use. The world is advanced now and people have improvised things for transportation making it easier for them to move from one place to another and also to convey goods too. Below is the review for three rural Transportation in my locality which are bus, tricycle or Keke and motorcycle. Before reviewing these forms of rural Transportation, let us see what rural Transportation is as many may be very much confused as to what the meaning is, restricting it to be means of transportation used in interior villages.
Rural Transportation
Rural Transportation is the movement of people, goods and services within surrounding rural areas and urban centres that offer these forms of rural transport the opportunity to grow and attain desired quality of life. Rural Transportation are of different forms and are used for different purposes that favour the masses as well as add to their growth and development financially, physically and others. Here are the three forms of rural Transportation in my area that's prevalent and we'll be reviewing them based on their properties and characteristics features.
Mini Bus
Mini Bus is a new invention, probably up to a decade since it came to existence in Nigeria as a whole. Mini Bus is a four-wheel vehicle capable of conveying goods and people from one place to another. It is medium or mini as it is called. It is a prevalent form of transportation in my locality as it is used by many to earn a living daily. This means of transportation is fast, affordable and convenient a little to move. Here are the characteristics features of mini Bus.
- Fast and affordable
- Comfortable and shaded from climatic conditions like rain, cold and sun
- Storage space
- Spaciousness
- Seven seats for passengers
- Can endure bad roads although not really solid because some parts may be affected.
Motorcycles
Motorcycle has been and is still a prevalent means of transportation in my locality asides bus. Motorcycle was already there before the advent of mini Bus in my locality. This means of transportation is the safest and kind of cheap means of transportation in my locality as it conveys people even in bad roads and in bad conditions it's only that motorcycle has some disadvantage. In fact, all means of transportation has advantages and disadvantages. Motorcycle is used to move people and goods from one places to another, mostly in rural areas Here are the some characteristics features of motorcycle.
- Fast in rural and urban centres mostly in rural areas.
- Cheap and not spacious...
- It doesn't have storage space
- It's not comfortable and it doesn't shade passengers from climatic conditions like sun and rain as it's not covered.
- Can endure bad roads comfortably without any issue and can pass through narrow paths comfortably.
