Club5050 Contest Environment 7th// Plant trees // Cultivating farms to produce edible

Hello and steem greetings to all in the community, I'm glad to be participating in this contest organized by @klen.civil I'm an environmentalist and so I can't let this by me by.
I am a young farmer based in the Southwest region of Cameroon, there we do intensive farming and cultivation, this to reduce the growing rate of hunger caused by global warming on the planet Earth.

Global warming

Global warming is defined as the increase in the average temperature of the Earth due to the depletion of the ozone layer. The ozone layer is a thick cloud covering the Earth's atmosphere , it blocks the very dangerous UV rays of the sun from directly hitting the Earth.

Over the years this layer have been damaged by man's careless activities like engines, creation of factories,testing nuclear weapons, that accumulates acidic gases in the atmosphere, these gases react directly with ozone transforming them from it stable state (O3) to (O2).

Resolutions made

But seeing the effects of their activities such as bush fires, desertification, the UN called for an environmental conference on the topic of cutting down Carbondioxide (CO2) emissions in some Industrialized countries like China Russia and so on.

Afforestation and reforestation measures were put forth.

Also international aid was given to some African countries to promote cultivation of crops including Cameroon, and the government did so in its own way.

Planting Food crops

So my way of contributing was by cultivating crops on my farm. Edible crops like beans, pumpkins, to feed the population.

The crops we plant don't only produce edible food, they also enhance the fertility of the soil, by supplying with Nitrogen in the form of nitrates.

When the soil is fertile, it gives room for other plants to grow and continue production of oxygen by using up the accumulated CO2, CO3 And other poisonous gases in the atmosphere.

Participating in Environmental Campaigns

Apart from cultivating crops, I also participate in campaigns to promote planting of trees and cleaning up the beaches, to save Marine environment, also we do sensitization of young persons so they preserve Mangrove Forests and also plant more of these Mangroves around beaches.

The increase in average atmospheric temperatures increases the rate of ice melting in the North and South Pole of the Earth, the melting ice increases sea level and so the rate of floods increases in areas around the sea.
This means Tsunamis will have a greater damage on the environment and human lives will be lost as a result.

Our campaigns are done by example, we sensitize by example, going to beaches, cleaning up and also informing the public about forest conservation.

Since the world is very connected, one activity affects the others.

Conserving marine life reduces the risk of Algal blooms in marine environment.
Growing Mangrove trees, will reduce the rate of destruction by tsunami, and also serve to promote breeding of marine life.
Cultivating crops increase the rate of pollination, meaning bees will have flowers to pollinate, this also means the dispersal of crops,trees will be facilitated.

Preserving animal life also increases our chances against global warming.
