My Best Candid Moments

Life is full of beautiful moments, and moments remind us of days. When we reflect on candid moments, we experience innermost Joy, and at times, we unconsciously smile. We may consider the moments we achieve our dreams as candid, and in this post, I write about some of my beautiful moments.

THE MOMENT MY HUSBAND PROPOSED TO ME AND MY WEDDING DAY

There is this guy I crushed on, he is every lady's dream guy. What I ever wanted was to love him and to receive his love in return, with time, we became friends. He was so caring and loving, and I was convinced he was the one for me, but the big question was when was he going to propose to me, It was as if the moment he would propose to me was not going to come because at that moment we were both students. My friends would ask; when is he going to graduate from the university, search for a job, start working, become financially stable, propose to you, and marry you? It was a rhetorical question though.

I decided to wait Because he never gave me reasons to doubt him. Years passed, and I still waited.

At 8 pm on May 18, 2022, he asked the big question; will you marry me? With Joy erupting from my heart and happiness illuminating like sunshine on my face, I leaped like a deer and said; yes I will marry you. This was a dream come true for me, and this is one of the moments I will never forget.

We began preparation for the wedding, and he happily paid my dowry. On December 10, 2022, we were joined together as husband and wife, this was our wedding day.

There's a special feeling that is attached to getting married to your dream guy, especially when he continues loving you and treating you more special than before. These two moments are alive in my memory, and they will remain there for eternity.

THE MOMENT MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN

Children are gifts from God Almighty, and if married couples choose to raise children, they are not wrong in any way.

There is a special feeling attached to the birth of my daughter because I thought I was going to lose her due to some challenging circumstances that surrounded her birth. Thanks to God almighty, who kept my daughter and me alive.

Whenever I set my eyes on her, there is this happiness that I can't explain that I have, she reminds me of the seemingly unending pains. When a nurse showed her to me and asked me about her sex, I said ' a girl', and she was very beautiful. With God, we overcame the challenges, and now have a healthy and strong daughter, and she's my Joy giver.

THE MOMENT I DEFENDED MY FIRST DEGREE PROJECT AND GRADUATED

The moment I graduated from the university was one of the special moments for me. I got admitted into the university to study a four-year course, which I later realized the course was not for me, I decided to transfer my studies to the library science department, under the faculty of education, and this would mean having an additional two years of studies. Due to this, my parents thought I dropped out of school which made them doubt me, and withdrew some of their support.

People accused me of so many things. I became downhearted because of how some of my loved ones reacted to my situation, but I remained strong and kept pushing till I graduated and achieved my goal of graduating with a good grade.

But an even better moment is ahead, the day of my convocation, which I will still share with you, it's coming up next month.

The moment I graduated and got my statement of result was a spectacular day for me.

There are many other candid moments I would share with you in the future, but these three are the first I could think of. Writing about these moments reminds me of the special memories attached, and I was shading tears of Joy. Dreams may be delayed, but they will surely come true if we work toward them. May the undeserved kindness of the almighty God be with us all.
