RE: Contest | 25-Word Comment - Monkey Business | Personal Robot - 6 Steem

Having a robot friend is not entirely a bad idea but but human beings will overly rely on robots which will lead to a decreased social skills.

People will no longer be interested in learning skills or improving their skills because there are robots to do the jobs of human beings.

Robots requires a regular check up, maintenance and updates which will cost a whole lot of money I guess.

For me the benefits of having a personal robot does not overweigh the possible setbacks.

Many people already live a life without friends. I doubt social skills will improve without robot. For some reason people are picky and not willing to invest in friendships. So what is left? A robot housekeeper who can tell stories, cook and says goodnight and stays in a closet out of sight if not needed.
It sounds good to me, saves time and a robot will not complain if you don't like to talk... unless you have that unfriendly nasty housekeeper robot like dad was gifted with by his children (what a burden to have such a family) in the Swedish film "Real Human".

@aneukpineung78 @germanbava would you like to have a robot to cheer you up? A ghostwriter perhaps?

Wow! You state such amazing facts about having a robot. I think I will consider having it.

I am old enough to remember life without television, what to speak of "personal" computers, cell phones etc... The same fears were expressed then. Somehow we are coping. It's a mess for sure... But life goes on.

My first computer had no internet access, did it exist back then?

We were forced to use a mobile phone and it was even given for free with the washing detergent.

Did it brighten my life? No.
Was calling easier? Yes ( and soon after all phone booths disapoeared)
Was it cheaper? Yes? The monthly fee for the landline without costs for calling was more than what I spent on calling per year!

Did people stop engaging/connecting/became worse writers?
Yes, yes, yes.

SMS, the texting did it. No need to write properly, no need to pay a visit, noneedto pay attention.

We lie all the techniques make life easier but the biggest part of the time I switch something on (washing machine, printer, computer, fax, photocamera, phone, water cooker and so on)I wasted time waiting, waiting, keeping an eye on it and waiting.

How many hours per day the average screen user (TV included) waits for something to happen or an answer?).
