Greetings Wonderful Individuals

I am glad to join the Veggie Takeover! contest by @goodybest, a great chance to share the passion for veggies. In the modern world, nourishing, plant-based diets take a beating and this contest is an excellent idea to turn the attention to healthy foods. May it be a colorful and a zesty salad or a warm and comforting soup or any yummy vegetable dish I am here to spread the love for vegetables and how to add more veggies to our meals. It is our turn to be happy with what vegetables do to our bodies as well as the variety they introduce into our diets.

Show us a step-by-step of how you prepare your Veggies it could be a vegetable stir-fry, cooking, or roasting vegetables.

Today, I am going to share you the instruction named Chinese Vegetables where we cook only vegetables. I thought of preparing this recipe today and as usual I used the vegetables available at my home and to my surprise everybody loved it. Here is the recipe follow:

Ingredients
🔹Vegetables: Carrots, raw papaya, and cauliflowers (feel free to use any starchy vegetable of your desire). 🔹Chicken: Thinly sliced
🔹Chopped Garlic: 6 to 8 cloves 🔹 salt to taste
🔹Black Pepper: The amount of blaxk pepper powder used is 1/2 teaspoon and divided into two parts. 🔹Corn flour: 1 teaspoon
🔹Oil: for cooking 🔹Soya Sauce: 1 tablespoons

Step 1: Preparation

First, I washed and chopped the vegetables I used today carrot, papaya, and cauliflower.

Boiling the Vegetables

I took a pan and placed some water in it and added salt then boiled the water. Having done this, I used the remaining portion of the boiled water to add all the vegetables at once into the pot and allowed them to cook for some time until they seemed to be half-cooked. Each time, once the vegetables were as nearly half-done as I felt would do, I removed them from the heat and stored them.

Step 3: Cooking the Chicken

In another pan, I had to put oil and heat it. After some time, I put chopped garlic into the hot oil and let it fry for a few minutes. After having turned the garlic brown, I added some slices of the chicken into the dish, accompanied with a sprinkle of salt and pepper powder to ensure that the chicken was well cooked.

Step 4: Combining Chicken and Vegetables

Thirdly, the partially cooked vegetables were added to the pan of the fried chicken and the garlic. I waited for a while and stirred this mixture well by adding some more pepper powder and add 1 tablespoon of soya sauce.

Step 5: Thickening the Sauce

Subsequently, when the vegetables and chicken were tender, I put a teaspoon full of corn flour and a little water and poured it into the vegetable mixture to thicken the gravy slightly.

Step 6: Final Touches

Last but not least, I continued to cook for several minutes to allow this sauce to attain the desired consistency. And added some green chili.

How often do make it, and where did you learn your recipes?

Chinese vegetables I prepare frequently, perhaps at least twice or thrice a week. This really comes as a favorite dish with my husband and yes for me I must also add that I also enjoy this dish. I love how the vegetables are young and bright and the taste of delicious sauce is unmatched and always enjoyed at home.

The way I initially learned how to make Chinese vegetables I owe it to my sister. She has a talent of preparing delicious meals and at the same time healthy meals. When she cooks, I sit watching her and one day decided to give it a try, something which is now part of my meals. Each time I make it I am brought back to the memories we have shared while cooking, and the dish makes me always look forward to adding more variations of vegetables to the dish.

Any health benefits of eating it? Mention them.

The consumption of Chinese vegetables such as the papaya, cauliflower, and carrot is very healthy. Papaya relieve digestion and contain vitamin A and C, cauliflower contains fiber and anti-inflammatory properties and beta-carotene from carrots is good for the eyes. This is a yummy preparation that comes enriched with nutrients that assist in the health of the body.

I would like to invite my friends @chiagoziee, @waterjoe @paholags @eliany @nanidi, @blessedbee @ibesso to participate in this contest
