Travel Contest - Have You Been Here (Trincomalee)

Hello all,
After around one month, this is my steemit post, and it is great to start posting again in the STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE community.
This post is an entry to the contest Have You Been Here, Season 15, which is organized by @irawandedy for the STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE community, and it was a great pleasure to enter this contest.
So, this is about one of the most famous people who travel to Sri Lanka, Trincomalee. Trincomalee is a famous city situated on the northeast coast of the country.
Trincomalee has many beautiful destinations to be visited. Some are hot water springs, Nilaweli Beach, Marble Beach, Thirukoneswaram Kovil, and Pigeon Island.

Why do I like this place?
The best thing I like about this place is the atmosphere and the places you can visit within a limited time.

Public facilities
Trincomalee is not a well-urbanized city. But it is not a rural city either. Since then, you can also find basic facilities and comfortable places to stay.

Cost to visit places
Most of the places, as mentioned earlier, can be visited freely. But to visit Pigeon Island, you must hire a boat, which will cost around 5000 LKR and take around 20 minutes to reach the island.

Recommendations
Trincomalee is a recommended place for any visitor who comes to Sri Lanka. It has a hot and warm climate, which is somewhat different from the climate of the uphill. Also, travelers can experience the Hindu culture, which is somewhat different from the common Buddhist culture of the country.

The images attached to this post were taken during a trip with my university batchmates. I should remind you that it was one of the best trips I went on during my undergraduate period. The trip took two days since Trincomalee is far from the university.

So, if you are ever going to Sri Lanka, do not forget to visit the fantastic places of Trincomalee.
