Dear friends, I hope you are well and healthy. The most regrettable thing to me is that the flood situation in Sylhet Sunamganj district of Bangladesh has now reached a terrible level. Starting from the government of Bangladesh, all kinds of voluntary organizations and volunteer groups are distributing relief among the flood victims. The latest situation is that the amount of water is increasing day by day and the attacks of various water borne diseases and other living creatures are increasing day by day in these two districts of Bangladesh. So I am trying to present the current situation of the flood affected people of Bangladesh among the friends of the community and to all the friends of this community for their help and cooperation.
In the current situation, the road communication system from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to Sylhet and Sunamganj districts has been cut off. There have been obstacles in the movement starting from the human genre. Because the roads are under water. The life of the people has become miserable. They are not able to properly deliver the relief materials needed to help the people in these two districts of Bangladesh. In the picture you can see that the movement of CNG powered autorickshaws like road bus truck Laguna etc. is being obstructed. I have tried to present to you all these images of people crossing the road on foot. This is the current flood situation in these two districts of Bangladesh.
Family members drowned in the floods have cut off communication with each other. So they have to cross the boat to get from one place to another. And they have to pay more for crossing these boats. And one of the means of communication is the road. Due to the submergence of these roads, they are unable to get anywhere by vehicle. At present the situation in Sylhet Sunamganj has taken such a miserable shape. Through which you can see people trying to get to their workplace on foot or in search of a safe haven. People seem to have lost their way due to this flood.
The flood-affected people of Sylhet and Sunamganj districts are the media and news media of Bangladesh. Trying to tell them how hard they are living. In the picture you can see the flood affected people on some of the famous channels of Bangladesh to share their grief with the people all over the world. They have shared their hardships through this channel through which they are living their lives without food and they are going through every day. However, the current flood situation in Bangladesh is being highlighted in the world court through these media.
All the pharmacy shops or hospitals in Sylhet and Sunamganj districts for medical and medicine prescriptions, community clinics and all other health care providers have been submerged. However, it is not possible to give proper treatment to the people. So that water borne diseases have increased in these flood affected areas. They are suffering from various diseases especially due to shortage of medicines and doctors and it is not possible to provide adequate treatment to the people of this place. In the picture you can see that the big buildings and houses have been submerged in water. It seems that the places of Sylhet Sunamganj district have turned into a river.
The government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh has sent all its forces to stand by the flood affected people of Sylhet Sunamganj district. In particular, a large number of soldiers have been deployed there under the supervision of the Bangladesh Army. So that relief and rehabilitation arrangements can be made among these flood affected people. In particular, the Bangladesh Army has taken various measures to carry out rescue operations for the safe shelter of the people and people are being taken to the safe shelter using various naval helicopters etc. And they are being properly managed by providing them with proper dry and food and various types of medicines and all the things that meet the basic needs of the people. So that all these skilled forces can be seen standing by the people in this flood affected area of Bangladesh. I would like to thank the Bangladesh Army on my own. So that they stand by the flood victims and help them.
People are for people. People from all walks of life in Bangladesh are working alongside these flood-affected people to meet the basic human needs for survival.
