We hope we never lose our phones, but this happens to many of us, the risk of a smartphone falling out of your pocket or being stolen by someone else does happen. Instead of panicking after losing it, you'd better take proper precautions so that the damage caused by losing:
- Set a strong passcode
- Turn on Find My Device

Besides the above precautions you would probably do well to back-up your data elsewhere.
