RE: What If Humans Can Fly Like Birds Unaided?
A lot would depend on the speed at which we could fly. The following answer assumes a speed of 100km/hr.
At 100km/hr we may prefer to fly ourselves to domestic destinations without taking a commercial flight on a domestic airliner. At 100km/hr, there may not be any difference in the time spent in flying ourselves and the time spent in taking a commercial flight (considering the additional time taken to travel to and from from airport, check-in and check-out and the wait time before and after embarking on the aircraft) but we may still prefer to fly ourselves because of the convenience and flexibility it offers.
For long distance flights obviously it become much more complicated and difficult because of the distance and the different jurisdictions that require immigrations and customs clearance.
