How to escape from the grip of Google's tentacles?

Google's tentacles are all over the web. It has become so pervasive that it hard to live without using one or more of google apps.

According to Princeton's Web Transparency and Accountability Project privacy project Google trackers were found in 75% of the top one million websites. Google also shares user information with government agencies from around the world upon request. In 2019 alone, Google answered more than 175,000 requests.

GoGoDuck, in a blog post published in 2017, recommended alternatives to Google controlled domains or apps. It is a little outdated as there are many more new domains or apps that are now available.
