What is power up?

Powering-up involves converting our liquid Steem into Steem Power, a form that supports saving and investment.

A power up is the process of converting our Steem into Steem-power.

Reasons Why I love Power-Up

There are so many reasons why I love power up. For this contest I am going to state just four reasons, which you too may have your own reasons why you power up.

The following are my reasons for powering up:-

Culture Emancipation

A Power-up from me is a confirmation that I am getting free from the anti saving culture that is prevalent in this part of the world.

Saving

The amount of Steem I end up Powering-up becomes a saving for me. And I am not planning to power down. Which means that my Steem is saved in the form of Steem-Power.

Investment

Another real reason why I love Powering-up is the fact that the Steem that is Powered up becomes a form of investment when used to curate the works of others. This produces a form of interest known as curation reward. If I don't have steem power in my account I won't be able to add value to steemians post when. I vote it and the same time I will not earn from that vote.
So investing by saving steem in or of steem power enables me to gain from the post I did not spend time to make but gain just by voting.

Relevance

Regular Power-ups will increase my Steem Power, and a reasonable quantity of Steem-Power in my account gives me what it takes to positively affect other people's account when I up vote them.

• You will have to signin to your account with your posting key.
• Then signin to my wallet with your active key.
  see the steps shown in the picture below.

• Drop the arrow besides Steem to select the power up option.

• Specify the amount to be powered up. And then click power up.

I will now click ok. To complete the power up process.

Going by the amount I am powering up in this post, my Steem Power Status has increased.

Conclusion

After being successful with this power up, I have increased my investment and have saved hundred more Steem.
