Chat a friend contest by @papi.mati

As part of popularizing the knowledge about Steem, I decided to publish today (23.04.21) a short note in the report on Facebook and Instagram. The note was made in three languages ​​(most of my friends speak English, Polish or Spanish) and mentioned steemit and the possibility of making a small additional profit on this platform.

I informed people that anyone interested in additional information could write to me.

The report on Instagram in the first three hours (at the time I am writing this) has reached over 100 views.
The total number of followers on my Instagram profile is 1,470

On Facebook, I have 400 friends and 260 additional followers. The account was read by 20 of them in the first hour.

I decided to do it that way, because I wanted to leave the initiative on other person, knowing that when someone contacts me, it's because they really are interested in the topic. If I had started writing to my friends first, there was a good chance that they would not be interested, but they would have been conducting the conversation out of politeness.

Five people contacted me, four of whom confirmed that they are interested in the steemit cryptocurrency and will set up an account on the portal. At the time of writing this post, the report is still available on my social media, so the number of people interested in the topic may be greater over time.

First conversation was in Polish, with one of my friends. I covered the name, as it's required by law in Poland (RODO - European law about privacy in Internet).
He was asking how does steem work, where does the money come and how to write. He finished the conversation by saying, he will create the account on Sunday, because he will have some extra free time that day. I tried to reply for all his questions and offered help if he will struggle with understanding anything else.

Second conversation was purely informative. I don't know if this friend will open the account, he didnt confirm it, but it might happen. If so, steem community will gain very talented member. That friend is a great artist.

Third conversation was made with a friend who seems to be interested but has a lot of questions and prefers to ask it personally. We are going for a coffee on Monday so I could help him to understand what steemit is.

Next friend asked for the steemit and said that he will give it a try. As he didn't ask any questions, I'm not sure he really meant it but tomorrow I'm meeting with him and I'm going to continue conversation about steemit.

Finally the only conversation on Facebook (all previous were made in Instagram). He was curious how does steem work, he asked me to confirm that I really earned any money there and he promised to give it a try.

Whether these four or five people will actually create the accounts or will some of them give up in the meantime - I do not know. However, I declared my help and readiness to answer all potential questions to facilitate their adaptation process. I also asked to send me a message with their nicknames once they create an account. This way I can check if they actually did it and watch their first posts, spot potential errors and suggest corrections if needed. I know how difficult the adaptation process can be and how easy it is to lose motivation in the first days, I believe that by assisting them, I will be able to prevent my friends from becoming demotivated.
