Steem Ghana Promoters Meetup at the Kumasi City Mall

Hello everyone,

I am proud to come your way with a short report of how the steem ghana promoters meeting went today and the immediate things we intend to do.

Just some few days back @mcsamm was privileged to receive 100 Steem on behalf of steem promotion in Ghana from @stephenkendal to make promo shirts and was appoint steem promoter for Ghana, shortly afterwards i got privileged to also join him in the quest to help with steem Ghana promotion and so it was incumbent that we met and discussed issues and also distributed the new t-shirts.

It is important to mention that whiles the new shirts are purposely for the steem-promotional work in Ghana @mcsamm together with myself are gathering a team of Ghanaian to help with promotional activities plans within the short term and the long term and thus we have decided to get these individuals the shirt for now and to expand thing moving on.

Our meeting was scheduled for 9am in the morning today however due to my flight delaying we ended up starting at 10am.

Agenda for the Meeting

---

1. Steem Shirt Distribution, who gets and how do we utilize the shirt best to speak for us on behalf of steem.

2. Marketfriday Steem Promotional plans, which venues to visit with more crowd and high tendency of attracting people.

3. Campus Steem Promo Campaign, what we will need and how we will go about it. Flyers, Banners and Venues.

4. Long term future plans for sustainable steem promotion at farther and more remote areas using health screening to attract people.

What was discussed

---

We concluded on the fact that the campus promo campaign has to come off as soon as schools reopen before activities kick into high gear so we could have more patronage since students are likely to ignore if they are too busy with academic stuff.

Remote areas steem promotional campaign would be best done in collaboration with health outreach programs where individuals after receiving free treatment would be made to understand about steem and how they can make a living writing about their passion.

This and every Friday whether we are able to meet up as a group or not, we would as promoters visit supermarkets, malls, places of shopping where we get to meet lot of random people and try to talk to someone about steemit. If we could get a shop to maybe start using steem for payment it would even be something amazing but that is something to be worked on in the long term future.

Steem shirts were given to @nattybongo, @mcsamm and @anaman for now to help with steem promotional activities. @collinz is expected to receive his and more people would be considered for the purpose of steem promotion in Ghana.

After the meeting we went around the mall talked to some few people, looked at possibilities of steem advertisement anywhere around the mall, spoke to some shop owners about steem too, some who were already into cryptocurrency were enthusiastic however more follow up visits would be warranted. After our surveys we went to have breakfast at a nearby location and then parted ways with plans to meet again shortly.

Steem-Promotional activities are team work and team play for success and so we continually call on all who have steem at heart to continue with the good work of bringing others onboard, however we also advise that things are done write through proper education. If anyone needs any help at any point in time with promo works i believe the team for the various countries and the leadership of this community are always willing to help.
