A Steemit Virtual Seminar for Steem-Promotion

Hello all,

It is a pleasure to come your way once again. I have been working with @mcsamm for the past few days on how to get about promotion in Ghana and whiles we are currently working on a mega promotional campaign to be held in schools around this idea popped up in my head and i though it wise to share with the community to elicit their response

The start is always the difficult part in everything, once one get the hang of something everything seems to work out smoothly. Getting things done right is crucial and so i thought of a weekly seminar to be co-hosted by the steem promoters within our community to present steem to prospects of steemians before they even decide to sign up.

Why a seminar? i realized or noticed that people go about just telling friends and family about steemit mostly by saying they are earning and they are writing without much explanation into what the blockchain entails etc. And so others come onboard and just begin doing everything or anything, plagiarism suddenly rises, people find it difficult following simple rules, completing achievement tasks etc. And i vehemently believe is because they didn't start right or get good guidance.

What the intention is, what i am proposing is for promoters to host a weekly seminar, i would be starting this with @mcsamm as a pilot for our Ghanaian community to see how it goes and report back to the promotion team. So we steemians who have friends and family they want to enroll or may have already talked to about steemit join our virtual seminar for a quick powerpoint presentation on steemit (like to be hosted on webex or zoom, links would be shared to country reps). They ask all they question and we answer them, make sure everything is well understood before they finally sign up.

What would this achieve?, if things goes per my estimation this would not only get newbies very well prepared and equipped to tackle the blockchain full on but would also alleviate burden on mentors who bring others in together with workload of country reps and moderators of different platforms as newbies would be coming in already knowing what and what not to do, where to find what and the first thing to clear before others are looked at.

Your thoughts, as i said when i began, this is a promotional idea that popped up when i woke up this morning, i would love to hear from @arie.steem, @mcsamm, @pojan, @ponpase and our advisor @stephenkendal on what their thoughts are about this, the feasibility and any recommendations that would be suggested.
