Owning to the Announcement Post that was made yesterday to an upcoming event at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, l write to share an update of the various activities that occurred to that effect. The Promo steem community is doing so well in recent times with promotional activities and member's engagement to the community.

The establishment of steem @campusconnectgh(CCG) as a #promo-steem initiative in Ghana compelled the promo team in Ghana to embark on a campus tour today at the name university above. Today's meetup by the promoters was to simply introduce steemit to the students of KNUST through steem printed flyers. It is an event that was massive and so engaging today here on campus. After a careful study of how the promo went today, it was suggested by the promo team to end up the exercise today looking at the time of decision but to have a continuation of it the next day.

Let me acknowledge the direction and support of @arie.steem in helping the steem local promoters in Ghana, @mcsamm @nattybongo @collinz @anaman, and @odsam2 to carry out such an exercise with so much victory. And also to the great campus promo by @campusconnectng(CCN). From today's indication, tomorrow will certainly be another marvelous and tough day for the continuation of the promo work.

Printing of flyers
As planned, steem flyers were the main tools and materials that have been designated to cater for this promo at the university today. I prepared the printing of flyers that were to be used for the exercise whereas @nattybongo and the other guys prepared for the drinks and other materials that will be used to support this day for the activity. We all assembled at the entrance of the university campus to pick a cab to the campus to begin the promo.

Summary of the exercise
Out of the 150 flyers that were printed today for the promotion, we exhausted all of them in the spread to the many students that we identified on campus. I mus commended the effort of everyone who made themselves available for the exercise today. At a point, we simply could not bear the many questions and the eagerness of some students to know more about steemit.

However, the printed flyers did great work in the promo. There was a couple of students l spotted me who was quick to log onto the steemit platform to take a look at how the platform works. Some of them would simply visit steemit just to confirm whatever we said to them. To some of them, it appeared as if steemit is a scam platform as there are a lot out there already.

I felt so much happier and excited with all the positive feedback l received from the many students who logged on to the steemit platform to see the beauty of blogging that we preached to them today. It was indeed a great promo day to see students willing to join a platform that gives that value for their hard work.

My Observation
Today's meetup for campus promotion got us moving from halls to halls of KNUST to share steem flyers to everyone we found. It really was not easy at a point but in all, we had a very successful promotion here on campus. My observation of certain moments of the exercise is what l wish to share. There is the existence of many students who are ready to make some good investments out there.

The only problem for most of them is the genuinely of the platform they can invest in. A lot of them have wasted a lot of resources from other platforms they blindly followed. And so sharing with them how steem could be a great opportunity for them to invest was a bit of a challenge. But l am glad they understood to give steem a try by investing in the platform.

Student entrepreneurs were overwhelmed to know that they can actually share their business ideas and sell out their products to the world through steem. These were some of the points that got the attention of students with a business mindset. It is good to see how we can invest so hugely in these students who are willing to join steemit.

Conclusion
Even though we consumed all the printed flyers, it still was not enough for us for the campus promo today since we could not visit some other parts of the campus. This has compelled us to continue the promotion tomorrow and take it to the other parts of the university. This is when we have decided also to visit the various halls we gave flyers out today. Getting feedback from them and possible signups are what we hope to achieve with day 2 of the campus promotion. In effect, additional flyers need to be printed to support the exercise for day 2 in reaching many students at the university campus.

I am excited to see myself and the promo team in ghana working together with the promo steem community in making the campus connect exercise so much of a success. This is the time to build a strong community to spread and educate people about steem and steemit on campuses. The steem campus promo work just began. Expect to see more in the coming days.
