Dont just talk about Power up,do it.I just did a "power-up" today || 10% to promosteem.

The need to power up cannot be overemphasized. One must understand that powering up is a long term project and the benefit far outweighs the present pleasure you derive from just selling your steem. Of course one might feel selling the steem is the best but I tell you saving up or investing your steem is the best. I have just powered up today Below is my "before" and "after" screenshot

Am glad about the step I took because I understand how beneficial this is on the long run,a good investor projects beyond now. I can only ask for support from the curators to ensure that this exercise we've taken upon ourselves to do weekly is made easy through regular upvotes and we will in turn do the needful (power up). Let me quickly highlight reason why people find it difficult to build their SP or portfolio.

You have to set a target for yourself if you really want to be serious about building your steem power or portfolio.The reason why many feel comfortable selling their steem is because they don't have target nor future plans nor ambition in this blockchain. There are various ways this long term investment can benefit you. Examples are;

If you have newbies,you can easily support them by upvoting their post even before the Steemcurators show up to do that or even delegate to support them. Tell me how it will be possible if you keep selling your steems and not actually powering up at intervals,this can also mean you don't really have the blockchain at heart,powering up is one of the ways of keeping the system running.

You don't only earn by writing quality content as an author,you can also earn from curations which is also called **curation reward**. You get this by voting on people's quality content. But how will you have the ability to vote people if you don't have voting power? You will only leave their post without any impact even after voting and that's because you don't have voting power.

Another reason why people don't build their SP is because of the momentary gain they think they get by selling their steem,some don't even know that there is a time to sell and a time to hold,you don't sell when the price is very low,you should sell high and buy low but many people dont understand this. In the real sense they are still running at a loss even after selling because if they had hold for week or even a month,it would have appreciated and bring them much increase. I will recommend that people like this should enroll into #Cryptoacademy class where these things are taught well. Thanks to @steemblog for the good work they are doing there and for the support received by the curators. I will like to draw the curtain here,although there are many other reason but I will like to limit it to these two.

I have plans of to join the #Spudforsteem organized by @kiwiscanfly at least by next month,I believe by them i'ld have gotten the necessary requirement to be part of it. All these moves are aimed towards building my steem power which is my long term investment.
